Europa želi proizvoditi najsnažnije računalne čipove i na tu bi ambiciju mogla uludo utrošiti milijarde eura, koje bi bilo bolje uložiti u obnovu zamrle tradicije projektiranja, smatra analitičar njemačke savjetodavne tvrtke SNV.

Europska komisija izložila je u ožujku desetogodišnji plan Digital Compass, čija je okosnica udvostručenje udjela Europe u globalnoj proizvodnji čipova, na 20 posto, i gradnja tvornice superbrzih čipova od dva nanometra.

Plan je poprimio karakter sanacije krize kada su globalni lanci opskrbe počeli pucati pod teretom naglog oporavka potražnje za proizvodima poput pametnih telefona i električnih vozila od urušavanja u početnoj fazi pandemije.

Europska komisija ne može ostvariti cilj zacrtan za 2030. godinu jer EU nema dovoljno veliko tržište na kojem bi se proizvodi supermoderne tvornice mogli prodavati, upozorava analitičar Stiftung Neue Verantwortung-a Jan-Peter Kleinhans.

"U Europi trenutno jednostavno nema posla za europsku tvornicu čipova, uglavnom zato što nema potrošača", objašnjava Kleinhans, dodajući da bi tvornica morala privući kupce izvan Europe, a šanse za to baš i nisu velike, smatra.

Problem je europske strategije i to što, za razliku od SAD-a i Azije, Europa nema razvijeni sektor projektiranja čipova koji bi opravdao ulaganja u veliku tvornicu, dodaje Kleinhans.

Vodeći proizvođači čipova u svijetu tajvanski TSMC i južnokorejski Samsung planiraju ulagati u SAD kako bi bili pri ruci vodećim kompanijama u projektiranju čipova, poput Qualcomma ili Nvidije, koje proizvodnju prepuštaju podizvođačima.

Tome valja dodati plan Intela da pokrene vlastitu proizvodnju ili angažira podizvođače, ponajprije u SAD-u, što će značiti još veće proizvodne kapacitete i otvoriti pitanje ekonomičnosti proširivanja proizvodnje u Europi, dodaje njemački analitičar.

Europa bi se umjesto toga trebala usredotočiti na oživljavanje urušenog sektora projektiranja čipova, smatra on.

Stari kontinent ima samo dvije tvrtke izlistane na burzi koje se bave projektiranjem, ali ne i proizvodnjom čipova. Jedna je od njih Dialog, kojeg je upravo za šest milijardi dolara kupio japanski Renesas.

Appleova najava ulaganja milijarde eura u novi pogon za projektiranje čipova u Münchenu pokazuje kojim bi smjerom EU trebao ići, tvrdi njemački stručnjak.

"Apple je u proteklih 10 godina učinio više za projektiranje čipova u Europi nego Komisija", zaključuje.

Europa želi proizvoditi najsnažnije računalne čipove i na tu bi ambiciju mogla uludo utrošiti milijarde eura, koje bi bilo bolje uložiti u obnovu zamrle tradicije projektiranja, smatra analitičar njemačke savjetodavne tvrtke SNV.

Europska komisija izložila je u ožujku desetogodišnji plan Digital Compass, čija je okosnica udvostručenje udjela Europe u globalnoj proizvodnji čipova, na 20 posto, i gradnja tvornice superbrzih čipova od dva nanometra.

Plan je poprimio karakter sanacije krize kada su globalni lanci opskrbe počeli pucati pod teretom naglog oporavka potražnje za proizvodima poput pametnih telefona i električnih vozila od urušavanja u početnoj fazi pandemije.

Europska komisija ne može ostvariti cilj zacrtan za 2030. godinu jer EU nema dovoljno veliko tržište na kojem bi se proizvodi supermoderne tvornice mogli prodavati, upozorava analitičar Stiftung Neue Verantwortung-a Jan-Peter Kleinhans.

"U Europi trenutno jednostavno nema posla za europsku tvornicu čipova, uglavnom zato što nema potrošača", objašnjava Kleinhans, dodajući da bi tvornica morala privući kupce izvan Europe, a šanse za to baš i nisu velike, smatra.

Problem je europske strategije i to što, za razliku od SAD-a i Azije, Europa nema razvijeni sektor projektiranja čipova koji bi opravdao ulaganja u veliku tvornicu, dodaje Kleinhans.

Vodeći proizvođači čipova u svijetu tajvanski TSMC i južnokorejski Samsung planiraju ulagati u SAD kako bi bili pri ruci vodećim kompanijama u projektiranju čipova, poput Qualcomma ili Nvidije, koje proizvodnju prepuštaju podizvođačima.

Tome valja dodati plan Intela da pokrene vlastitu proizvodnju ili angažira podizvođače, ponajprije u SAD-u, što će značiti još veće proizvodne kapacitete i otvoriti pitanje ekonomičnosti proširivanja proizvodnje u Europi, dodaje njemački analitičar.

Europa bi se umjesto toga trebala usredotočiti na oživljavanje urušenog sektora projektiranja čipova, smatra on.

Stari kontinent ima samo dvije tvrtke izlistane na burzi koje se bave projektiranjem, ali ne i proizvodnjom čipova. Jedna je od njih Dialog, kojeg je upravo za šest milijardi dolara kupio japanski Renesas.

Appleova najava ulaganja milijarde eura u novi pogon za projektiranje čipova u Münchenu pokazuje kojim bi smjerom EU trebao ići, tvrdi njemački stručnjak.

"Apple je u proteklih 10 godina učinio više za projektiranje čipova u Europi nego Komisija", zaključuje.

Europa želi proizvoditi najsnažnije računalne čipove i na tu bi ambiciju mogla uludo utrošiti milijarde eura, koje bi bilo bolje uložiti u obnovu zamrle tradicije projektiranja, smatra analitičar njemačke savjetodavne tvrtke SNV.

Europska komisija izložila je u ožujku desetogodišnji plan Digital Compass, čija je okosnica udvostručenje udjela Europe u globalnoj proizvodnji čipova, na 20 posto, i gradnja tvornice superbrzih čipova od dva nanometra.

Plan je poprimio karakter sanacije krize kada su globalni lanci opskrbe počeli pucati pod teretom naglog oporavka potražnje za proizvodima poput pametnih telefona i električnih vozila od urušavanja u početnoj fazi pandemije.

Europska komisija ne može ostvariti cilj zacrtan za 2030. godinu jer EU nema dovoljno veliko...
