U predvečerje Svjetskog prvenstva u Antwerpenu, svijet gimnastike ponovno potresa jedan ružan slučaj. Slučaj koji se, istina, dogodio još prošle godine, ali je tek sada izašao na vidjelo i izazvao zgražanje. Bilo je prijašnjih godina u gimnastici skandala koji su uključivali seksualno zlostavljanje i psihičko maltretiranje, a u središtu najnovije afere je - rasizam. Da priča bude gora, radi se o rasizmu kojem je bilo izloženo dijete - pišu Sportske novosti.

Incident se dogodio u ožujku prošle godine na natjecanju Gymstart u Dublinu kada su sva djeca u vrsti primila medalju osim crne djevojčice. Žena koja je dijelila medalje jednostavno je prošla pored nje i ostavila je bez zaslužene nagrade. Video koji slama srca proširio se prije nekoliko dana na društvenim mrežama, pogledali su ga milijuni ljudi i bilo je jasno da Irski gimnastički savez ovaj slučaj više ne može skrivati pod tepihom.

Da priča dobije još veći publicitet, pobrinula se najbolja gimnastičarka današnjice i jedna od najvećih svih vremena Simone Biles.

”Kada se pojavila ova snimka, javili su mi se njezini roditelji. Slomilo mi se srce kad sam to vidjela, pa sam joj poslala mali video. Nema mjesta za rasizam ni u jednom sportu, ni bilo gdje drugdje”, napisala je četverostruka olimpijska pobjednica na Twitteru.

Ubrzo nakon toga priopćenjem se oglasio i Irski gimnastički savez, potvrdivši da je u ožujku 2022. primio pritužbu roditelja djevojčice.

”Organizirana je neovisna medijacija koja je dovela do rješenja oko kojeg su se obje strane složile u kolovozu ove godine. U sklopu istrage o incidentu, uključena dužnosnica izrazila je duboko žaljenje zbog pogreške, te uputila pisanu ispriku. Djevojčica je naknadno dobila svoju medalju”, stoji u priopćenju.

Međutim, u razgovoru za Irish Independent ove nedjelje, majka malene sportašice požalila se kako se Irski gimnastički savez nikad nije javno ispričao, te dodala kako je cijeli slučaj prijavila Etičkoj komisiji Svjetske gimnastičke federacije (FIG).

- Često smo jedina crna obitelj na gimnastičkim natjecanjima i ovaj događaj je za nas bio jako bolan. Sada je osam milijuna ljudi vidjelo ovaj video. Od Pakistana do Etiopije, svi su se mogli uvjeriti koliko je to bilo pogrešno, ali Irski gimnastički savez još uvijek to ne može prihvatiti i ispričati se - izjavila je majka.

Dovelo je to do novog priopćenje Saveza koji se u ponedjeljak konačno ispričao za ovaj skandal.

”To se nije smjelo dogoditi i zbog toga nam je duboko žao. Cijelo smo vrijeme radili u dobroj vjeri i s najboljim namjerama, pokušavajući riješiti ovaj vrlo težak i osjetljiv problem. Ponudili smo osobnu ispriku nakon incidenta jer smo vjerovali da je to najbolji pristup. Sada znamo da moramo učiniti više i posvećeni smo tome da se ništa slično više nikad ne dogodi. Drago nam je što gimnastičarka i dalje sudjeluje na natjecanjima i za kraj želimo jasno reći da osuđujemo svaki oblik rasizma”, stoji u priopćenju.

U predvečerje Svjetskog prvenstva u Antwerpenu, svijet gimnastike ponovno potresa jedan ružan slučaj. Slučaj koji se, istina, dogodio još prošle godine, ali je tek sada izašao na vidjelo i izazvao zgražanje. Bilo je prijašnjih godina u gimnastici skandala koji su uključivali seksualno zlostavljanje i psihičko maltretiranje, a u središtu najnovije afere je - rasizam. Da priča bude gora, radi se o rasizmu kojem je bilo izloženo dijete - pišu Sportske novosti.

Incident se dogodio u ožujku prošle godine na natjecanju Gymstart u Dublinu kada su sva djeca u vrsti primila medalju osim crne djevojčice. Žena koja je dijelila medalje jednostavno je prošla pored nje i ostavila je bez zaslužene nagrade. Video koji slama srca proširio se prije nekoliko dana na društvenim mrežama, pogledali su ga milijuni ljudi i bilo je jasno da Irski gimnastički savez ovaj slučaj više ne može skrivati pod tepihom.

Da priča dobije još veći publicitet, pobrinula se najbolja gimnastičarka današnjice i jedna od najvećih svih vremena Simone Biles.

”Kada se pojavila ova snimka, javili su mi se njezini roditelji. Slomilo mi se srce kad sam to vidjela, pa sam joj poslala mali video. Nema mjesta za rasizam ni u jednom sportu, ni bilo gdje drugdje”, napisala je četverostruka olimpijska pobjednica na Twitteru.

Ubrzo nakon toga priopćenjem se oglasio i Irski gimnastički savez, potvrdivši da je u ožujku 2022. primio pritužbu roditelja djevojčice.

”Organizirana je neovisna medijacija koja je dovela do rješenja oko kojeg su se obje strane složile u kolovozu ove godine. U sklopu istrage o incidentu, uključena dužnosnica izrazila je duboko žaljenje zbog pogreške, te uputila pisanu ispriku. Djevojčica je naknadno dobila svoju medalju”, stoji u priopćenju.

Međutim, u razgovoru za Irish Independent ove nedjelje, majka malene sportašice požalila se kako se Irski gimnastički savez nikad nije javno ispričao, te dodala kako je cijeli slučaj prijavila Etičkoj komisiji Svjetske gimnastičke federacije (FIG).

- Često smo jedina crna obitelj na gimnastičkim natjecanjima i ovaj događaj je za nas bio jako bolan. Sada je osam milijuna ljudi vidjelo ovaj video. Od Pakistana do Etiopije, svi su se mogli uvjeriti koliko je to bilo pogrešno, ali Irski gimnastički savez još uvijek to ne može prihvatiti i ispričati se - izjavila je majka.

”To se nije smjelo dogoditi i zbog toga nam je duboko žao. Cijelo smo vrijeme radili u dobroj vjeri i s najboljim namjerama, pokušavajući riješiti ovaj vrlo težak i osjetljiv problem. Svijet gimnastike potresa novi skandal, oglasila se najbolja na svijetu, video slama srca

U predvečerje Svjetskog prvenstva u Antwerpenu, svijet gimnastike ponovno potresa jedan ružan slučaj. Slučaj koji se, istina, dogodio još prošle godine, ali je tek sada izašao na vidjelo i izazvao zgražanje. Bilo je prijašnjih godina u gimnastici skandala koji su uključivali seksualno zlostavljanje i psihičko maltretiranje, a u središtu najnovije afere je - rasizam. Da priča bude gora, radi se o rasizmu kojem je bilo izloženo dijete - pišu Sportske novosti.

Incident se dogodio u ožujku prošle godine na natjecanju Gymstart u Dublinu kada su sva djeca u vrsti primila medalju osim crne djevojčice. Žena koja je dijelila medalje jednostavno je prošla pored nje i ostavila je bez zaslužene nagrade. Video koji slama srca proširio se prije nekoliko dana na društvenim mrežama, pogledali su ga milijuni ljudi i bilo je jasno da Irski gimnastički savez ovaj slučaj više ne može skrivati pod tepihom.

Da priča dobije još veći publicitet, pobrinula se najbolja gimnastičarka današnjice i jedna od najvećih svih vremena Simone Biles.

”Kada se pojavila ova snimka, javili su mi se njezini roditelji. Slomilo mi se srce kad sam to vidjela, pa sam joj poslala mali video. Nema mjesta za rasizam ni u jednom sportu, ni bilo gdje drugdje”, napisala je četverostruka olimpijska pobjednica na Twitteru.

Ubrzo nakon toga priopćenjem se oglasio i Irski gimnastički savez, potvrdivši da je u ožujku 2022. primio pritužbu roditelja djevojčice.

”Organizirana je neovisna medijacija koja je dovela do rješenja oko kojeg su se obje strane složile u kolovozu ove godine. U sklopu istrage o incidentu, uključena dužnosnica izrazila je duboko žaljenje zbog pogreške, te uputila pisanu ispriku. Djevojčica je naknadno dobila svoju medalju”, stoji u priopćenju.

Međutim, u razgovoru za Irish Independent ove nedjelje, majka malene sportašice požalila se kako se Irski gimnastički savez nikad nije javno ispričao, te dodala kako je cijeli slučaj prijavila Etičkoj komisiji Svjetske gimnastičke federacije (FIG).

- Često smo jedina crna obitelj na gimnastičkim natjecanjima i ovaj događaj je za nas bio jako bolan. Sada je osam milijuna ljudi vidjelo ovaj video. Od Pakistana do Etiopije, svi su se mogli uvjeriti koliko je to bilo pogrešno, ali Irski gimnastički savez još uvijek to ne može prihvatiti i ispričati se - izjavila je majka.
