Moguće je da se na jesen ove godine vrati delta varijanta koronavirusa i to nikoga ne bi trebalo iznenaditi, budući da omikron varijanta, koja sada "vlada" svijetom, ne daje dobru zaštitu prema delti. No to je samo jedan od mogućih scenarija koji svijet očekuje nakon ljeta.
Drugi scenarij je da nastane virus koji je mješavina omikrona (koji se jako brzo širi, op. a.) i delte (koji je do sada bio najsmrtonosniji, op. a.), dok je treća varijanta da dobijemo neki sasvim novi virus.
Međutim, u svemu tome dobra je stvar što u populaciji imamo sve bolji imunitet jer se puno ljudi cijepilo, a puno ih je i preboljelo COVID – kazuje nam prof. dr. sc. Andrej Trampuž, slovenski infektolog i specijalist interne medicine, voditelj odjela kirurške infektologije bolnice "Charite" u Berlinu.
Smrtnost manja
Pandemija koronavirusa, prema riječima dr. Trampuža, postala je endemična, nešto kao gripa, no još uvijek puno opasnija od gripe.
– Opasna je posebno kod onih koji još uvijek nisu cijepljeni, naravno tu prvenstveno mislim na starije osobe i one koje imaju kronične bolesti. Mi u Njemačkoj i dalje dnevno imamo od 200 do 300 tisuća novooboljelih od COVID-a, ali smrtnost je, zbog procijepljenosti, znatno manja nego prije. Sada dnevno umre od 200 do 300 ljudi.
Dolaskom omikrona prvo smo imali podtip BA1, s kojim je jedna osoba mogla zaraziti od pet do šest ljudi, a sada imamo podtip BA2, s kojim jedna osoba može zaraziti sedam-osam ljudi. Dakle, još se brže širi i to nije problem ako se zaražavaju cijepljeni ljudi jer oni imaju imunitet – govori dr. Trampuž.
Naš sugovornik kaže da bi bilo dobro kada bi političari u svim europskim zemljama rekli svojim sugrađanima kako će na jesen ponovno trebati nositi zaštitne maskice, koje su se pokazale kao vrlo dobro sredstvo zaštite od koronavirusa.
– Isto tako, bit će potrebna i druga booster doza cjepiva (ukupno četvrta doza cjepiva, op.a.), pogotovo za starije osobe i one koje su imunokompromitirane, a bit će potrebno ponovno provoditi i kampanju sveobuhvatnog cijepljenja, negdje od kraja rujna ove godine – dodaje dr. Trampuž.

Moguće je da se na jesen ove godine vrati delta varijanta koronavirusa i to nikoga ne bi trebalo iznenaditi, budući da omikron varijanta, koja sada "vlada" svijetom, ne daje dobru zaštitu prema delti. No to je samo jedan od mogućih scenarija koji svijet očekuje nakon ljeta.
Drugi scenarij je da nastane virus koji je mješavina omikrona (koji se jako brzo širi, op. a.) i delte (koji je do sada bio najsmrtonosniji, op. a.), dok je treća varijanta da dobijemo neki sasvim novi virus.
Međutim, u svemu tome dobra je stvar što u populaciji imamo sve bolji imunitet jer se puno ljudi cijepilo, a puno ih je i preboljelo COVID – kazuje nam prof. dr. sc. Andrej Trampuž, slovenski infektolog i specijalist interne medicine, voditelj odjela kirurške infektologije bolnice "Charite" u Berlinu.
Smrtnost manja
Pandemija koronavirusa, prema riječima dr. Trampuža, postala je endemična, nešto kao gripa, no još uvijek puno opasnija od gripe.
– Opasna je posebno kod onih koji još uvijek nisu cijepljeni, naravno tu prvenstveno mislim na starije osobe i one koje imaju kronične bolesti. Mi u Njemačkoj i dalje dnevno imamo od 200 do 300 tisuća novooboljelih od COVID-a, ali smrtnost je, zbog procijepljenosti, znatno manja nego prije. Sada dnevno umre od 200 do 300 ljudi.
Dolaskom omikrona prvo smo imali podtip BA1, s kojim je jedna osoba mogla zaraziti od pet do šest ljudi, a sada imamo podtip BA2, s kojim jedna osoba može zaraziti sedam-osam ljudi. Dakle, još se brže širi i to nije problem ako se zaražavaju cijepljeni ljudi jer oni imaju imunitet – govori dr. Trampuž.
Naš sugovornik kaže da bi bilo dobro kada bi političari u svim europskim zemljama rekli svojim sugrađanima kako će na jesen ponovno trebati nositi zaštitne maskice, koje su se pokazale kao vrlo dobro sredstvo zaštite od koronavirusa.
