Dobitnik najprestižnije glazbene nagrade Grammy stiže u Šibenik. Riječ je o planetarno popularnom glazbeniku Dubfireu, koji je prije 11 godina već gostovao na Terraneu u bivšoj vojarni Bribirski knezovi.

Datum tog velikog događaja je subota, 20. srpnja 2024. To je datum za novo izdanje Project Vojarne, smotre elektronske glazbe na prostoru bivše vojarne Bribirski Knezovi u Šibeniku.

Ima jedna zanimljiva činjenica, naime Dubfire je prije 11 godina gostovao u bivšoj vojarni ‘Bribirski knezovi’ kad se održavao respektabilni festival Terraneo!

Od pionirskog komercijalnog uspjeha kao što je Deep Dish, do jednakog globalnog priznanja unutar underground scene, Dubfire je umjetnik čiji su ga pogon, talent i intuicija postavili na vrh ljestvice elektronske glazbe već 3 desetljeća.

Rođen u Iranu i odrastao u SAD-u od svoje sedme godine, Ali ‘Dubfire’ Shirazinia prvo je svoje vještine razvijao svirajući u bendovima i lokalnim klubovima na području Washingtona, D.C. Sa Sharamom Tayebijem upoznao ga je prijatelj iz djetinjstva 1990., a ubrzo nakon toga osnovali su Deep Dish; produkcijski i DJ duo koji je osvojio svijet elektroničke glazbe, pokupivši pritom prestižnu nagradu Grammy (2001.), uz niz drugih nagrada i priznanja; i pomaže u utrti put trenutnom bumu elektronske glazbe. Ipak, na vrhuncu svog uspjeha, obojica su se odlučili povući korak unatrag i nastaviti solo karijere, uz alias Dubfire koji je Aliju omogućio da izrazi svoju duboku ljubav prema underground houseu i technu.

S brzim arsenalom inovativne nove glazbe, brzo se integrirao u minimalističku scenu i proizveo nekoliko ključnih izdanja koja su ga učvrstila kao pravog vizionara i snagu s kojom se mora računati; rane pjesme kao što su ‘RibCage (2007)’, ‘Emissions (2007),’ ‘Roadkill (2007), da ne spominjemo njegove ikonične remikse Plastikmanove ‘Spastik (2007)’ i ‘Grindhouse (2008) Radio Slavea i Dantona Eeproma,’ – koji se danas naširoko smatra vjerodostojnim klasikom – uveo je novu eru unutar golemog techno žanra. Zatim je tu bio njegov juriš remiksa za tako različite izvođače kao što su Nitzer Ebb, UNKLE, System 7, Paperclip People, Joseph Capriati, Stephen Bodzin, Audion i Tiga među mnoštvom drugih. Nadalje pokazujući svoju svestranost, koproducirao je dvije pjesme na albumu Barking grupe Underworld (2010.) te surađivao s francuskom Miss Kittin na hvaljenim singlovima ‘Exit (2014.)’ i ‘Ride (2016.)’.

Dubfireova izvanredna životna priča do sada je ispričana u zadivljujućem dokumentarcu Above Ground Level (2017.), koji opisuje putanju njegove karijere kao mladića od revolucije 1979. u Iranu, do postajanja jednom od najvećih zvijezda dance glazbe. Otkrivajući ljudsku priču o imigrantu u potrazi za američkim snom, film se kloni klišea elektronske glazbe iz prošlosti i daje dubinski pogled na naporan rad i žrtvu potrebne da bi se postigao uspjeh na sceni elektronske glazbe. Za samog Alija, Above Ground Level označio je kraj blistavog desetljeća i početak sljedećih 20+ godina kreativnog istraživanja gdje će nastaviti postavljati izazove da pomakne okvire i uzdigne žanr elektronske glazbe.

Od pionirskog komercijalnog uspjeha kao što je Deep Dish, do jednakog globalnog priznanja unutar underground scene, Dubfire je umjetnik čiji su ga pogon, talent i intuicija postavili na vrh ljestvice elektronske glazbe već 3 desetljeća.

Rođen u Iranu i odrastao u SAD-u od svoje sedme godine, Ali ‘Dubfire’ Shirazinia prvo je svoje vještine razvijao svirajući u bendovima i lokalnim klubovima na području Washingtona, D.C. Sa Sharamom Tayebijem upoznao ga je prijatelj iz djetinjstva 1990., a ubrzo nakon toga osnovali su Deep Dish; produkcijski i DJ duo koji je osvojio svijet elektroničke glazbe, pokupivši pritom prestižnu nagradu Grammy (2001.), uz niz drugih nagrada i priznanja; i pomaže u utrti put trenutnom bumu elektronske glazbe. Ipak, na vrhuncu svog uspjeha, obojica su se odlučili povući korak unatrag i nastaviti solo karijere, uz alias Dubfire koji je Aliju omogućio da izrazi svoju duboku ljubav prema underground houseu i technu.

S brzim arsenalom inovativne nove glazbe, brzo se integrirao u minimalističku scenu i proizveo nekoliko ključnih izdanja koja su ga učvrstila kao pravog vizionara i snagu s kojom se mora računati; rane pjesme kao što su ‘RibCage (2007)’, ‘Emissions (2007),’ ‘Roadkill (2007), da ne spominjemo njegove ikonične remikse Plastikmanove ‘Spastik (2007)’ i ‘Grindhouse (2008) Radio Slavea i Dantona Eeproma,’ – koji se danas naširoko smatra vjerodostojnim klasikom – uveo je novu eru unutar golemog techno žanra. Zatim je tu bio njegov juriš remiksa za tako različite izvođače kao što su Nitzer Ebb, UNKLE, System 7, Paperclip People, Joseph Capriati, Stephen Bodzin, Audion i Tiga među mnoštvom drugih. Nadalje pokazujući svoju svestranost, koproducirao je dvije pjesme na albumu Barking grupe Underworld (2010.) te surađivao s francuskom Miss Kittin na hvaljenim singlovima ‘Exit (2014.)’ i ‘Ride (2016.)’.

Dubfireova izvanredna životna priča do sada je ispričana u zadivljujućem dokumentarcu Above Ground Level (2017.), koji opisuje putanju njegove karijere kao mladića od revolucije 1979. u Iranu, do postajanja jednom od najvećih zvijezda dance glazbe. Otkrivajući ljudsku priču o imigrantu u potrazi za američkim snom, film se kloni klišea elektronske glazbe iz prošlosti i daje dubinski pogled na naporan rad i žrtvu potrebne da bi se postigao uspjeh na sceni elektronske glazbe. Za samog Alija, Above Ground Level označio je kraj blistavog desetljeća i početak sljedećih 20+ godina kreativnog istraživanja gdje će nastaviti postavljati izazove da pomakne okvire i uzdigne žanr elektronske glazbe.

Još jedan ljetni glazbeni spektakl: u Šibenik stiže dobitnik Grammya

Dobitnik najprestižnije glazbene nagrade Grammy stiže u Šibenik. Riječ je o planetarno popularnom glazbeniku Dubfireu, koji je prije 11 godina već gostovao na Terraneu u bivšoj vojarni Bribirski knezovi.

Datum tog velikog događaja je subota, 20. srpnja 2024. To je datum za novo izdanje Project Vojarne, smotre elektronske glazbe na prostoru bivše vojarne Bribirski Knezovi u Šibeniku.
