Drugoga dana Svjetskog tekvondo prvenstva u meksičkoj Guadalajari hrvatski predstavnici  Matea Jelić, Ivan Šapina i Bruna Vuletić mogli su i do tri odličja, ali su na koncu na dramatičan način ostali bez ijednoga.

Olimpijska pobjednica i europska prvakinja, Matea Jelić zaustavljena je još jednom u borbi za odličje na svjetskim smotrama, i ovog puta kao i posljednja dva puta u drami posljednjih nekoliko sekundi. 

Matea je u kategoriji do 67 kilograma bila slobodna u prvom kolu, u drugom je pobijedila s ukupnih 8-0 Uzbekistanku Ozodu Sobirjonovu da bi u osmini finala slavila i protiv Čileanke Claudije Gallardo s novih 2-0 u rundama. Četvrtfinalni meč bio je klasik na velikim smotrama, repriza četvrtfinala posljednjih olimpijskih igara i posljednjeg svjetskog prvenstva između Matee i Brazilke Milene Titoneli. Konačni rezultat po rundama bio je 3-3, 4-4 i 4-4, ali je prednost u rundama otišla Brazilki te je s 2-1 ostavila Jelić bez odličja.

Podsjetimo, Matea je na SP u Manchesteru 2019. izgubila u posljednjoj sekundi borbu za odličje, slično kao i 2017. u Muju kad je izgubila na zlatni bod od Turkinje Nur Tatar. Tako je Matea od 2017. godine tri puta uzastopno peta na svijetu, ali nikako da osvoji jedinu medalju koja joj nedostaje u kolekciji.

Olimpijac i aktualni prvak Europe do 87 kilograma Ivan Šapina je kao drugi nositelj vjerovao u obranu svjetske medalje iz Manchestera 2019. godine. Turnir u Mexicu je otvorio odlično pobjedom protiv Emamija Mohammada s 5-0 i 8-3 po rundama. Ždrijeb ga je međutim već u osmini finala namjerio na odličnog Kineza Mingkuana Menga koji je slavio s 2-1 u rundama i otišao do finala svjetskog prvenstva.

Od kasnije finalistice svjetskog prvenstva poražena je u osmini finala i Bruna Vuletić u kategoriji do 62 kilograma, a ona je kao i Šapina branila aktualnu svjetsku broncu iz 2019. godine. Bruna je u prvom kolu bila slobodna, u drugom je slavila protiv Šveđanke Tindre Andersson 1-0 i 6-0 po rundama da bi u osmini finala s tijesnih 0-0, 4-3 i 0-1 ostala bez prilike borit se za medalju. Grkinja Theopoula Sarvanaki otišla je dalje i stigla do srebra na svijetu.

Trećeg dana svjetskog prvenstva na tatami izlaze Bruna Duvančić do 49 kilograma i Leon Glasnović do 68 kilograma.

Drugoga dana Svjetskog tekvondo prvenstva u meksičkoj Guadalajari hrvatski predstavnici  Matea Jelić, Ivan Šapina i Bruna Vuletić mogli su i do tri odličja, ali su na koncu na dramatičan način ostali bez ijednoga.

Olimpijska pobjednica i europska prvakinja, Matea Jelić zaustavljena je još jednom u borbi za odličje na svjetskim smotrama, i ovog puta kao i posljednja dva puta u drami posljednjih nekoliko sekundi. 

Matea je u kategoriji do 67 kilograma bila slobodna u prvom kolu, u drugom je pobijedila s ukupnih 8-0 Uzbekistanku Ozodu Sobirjonovu da bi u osmini finala slavila i protiv Čileanke Claudije Gallardo s novih 2-0 u rundama. Četvrtfinalni meč bio je klasik na velikim smotrama, repriza četvrtfinala posljednjih olimpijskih igara i posljednjeg svjetskog prvenstva između Matee i Brazilke Milene Titoneli. Konačni rezultat po rundama bio je 3-3, 4-4 i 4-4, ali je prednost u rundama otišla Brazilki te je s 2-1 ostavila Jelić bez odličja.

Podsjetimo, Matea je na SP u Manchesteru 2019. izgubila u posljednjoj sekundi borbu za odličje, slično kao i 2017. u Muju kad je izgubila na zlatni bod od Turkinje Nur Tatar. Tako je Matea od 2017. godine tri puta uzastopno peta na svijetu, ali nikako da osvoji jedinu medalju koja joj nedostaje u kolekciji.

Olimpijac i aktualni prvak Europe do 87 kilograma Ivan Šapina je kao drugi nositelj vjerovao u obranu svjetske medalje iz Manchestera 2019. godine. Turnir u Mexicu je otvorio odlično pobjedom protiv Emamija Mohammada s 5-0 i 8-3 po rundama. Ždrijeb ga je međutim već u osmini finala namjerio na odličnog Kineza Mingkuana Menga koji je slavio s 2-1 u rundama i otišao do finala svjetskog prvenstva.

Od kasnije finalistice svjetskog prvenstva poražena je u osmini finala i Bruna Vuletić u kategoriji do 62 kilograma, a ona je kao i Šapina branila aktualnu svjetsku broncu iz 2019. godine. Bruna je u prvom kolu bila slobodna, u drugom je slavila protiv Šveđanke Tindre Andersson 1-0 i 6-0 po rundama da bi u osmini finala s tijesnih 0-0, 4-3 i 0-1 ostala bez prilike borit se za medalju. Grkinja Theopoula Sarvanaki otišla je dalje i stigla do srebra na svijetu.

Trećeg dana svjetskog prvenstva na tatami izlaze Bruna Duvančić do 49 kilograma i Leon Glasnović do 68 kilograma.

Kninjanka Matea Jelić nakon dramatične borbe ostala bez odličja na Svjetskom prvenstvu

Drugoga dana Svjetskog tekvondo prvenstva u meksičkoj Guadalajari hrvatski predstavnici  Matea Jelić, Ivan Šapina i Bruna Vuletić mogli su i do tri odličja, ali su na koncu na dramatičan način ostali bez ijednoga.

Olimpijska pobjednica i europska prvakinja, Matea Jelić zaustavljena je još jednom u borbi za odličje na svjetskim smotrama, i ovog puta kao i posljednja dva puta u drami posljednjih nekoliko sekundi. 

Matea je u kategoriji do 67 kilograma bila slobodna u prvom kolu, u drugom je pobijedila s ukupnih 8-0 Uzbekistanku Ozodu Sobirjonovu da bi u osmini finala slavila i protiv Čileanke Claudije Gallardo s novih 2-0 u rundama. Četvrtfinalni meč bio je klasik na velikim smotrama, repriza četvrtfinala posljednjih olimpijskih igara i posljednjeg svjetskog prvenstva između Matee i Brazilke Milene Titoneli. Konačni rezultat po rundama bio je 3-3, 4-4 i 4-4, ali je prednost u rundama otišla Brazilki te je s 2-1 ostavila Jelić bez odličja.

Podsjetimo, Matea je na SP u Manchesteru 2019. izgubila u posljednjoj sekundi borbu za odličje, slično kao i 2017. u Muju kad je izgubila na zlatni bod od Turkinje Nur Tatar. Tako je Matea od 2017. godine tri puta uzastopno peta na svijetu, ali nikako da osvoji jedinu medalju koja joj nedostaje u kolekciji.

Olimpijac i aktualni prvak Europe do 87 kilograma Ivan Šapina je kao drugi nositelj vjerovao u obranu svjetske medalje iz Manchestera 2019. godine. Turnir u Mexicu je otvorio odlično pobjedom protiv Emamija Mohammada s 5-0 i 8-3 po rundama. Ždrijeb ga je međutim već u osmini finala namjerio na odličnog Kineza Mingkuana Menga koji je slavio s 2-1 u rundama i otišao do finala svjetskog prvenstva.

Od kasnije finalistice svjetskog prvenstva poražena je u osmini finala i Bruna Vuletić u kategoriji do 62 kilograma, a ona je kao i Šapina branila aktualnu svjetsku broncu iz 2019. godine. Bruna je u prvom kolu bila slobodna, u drugom je slavila protiv Šveđanke Tindre Andersson 1-0 i 6-0 po rundama da bi u osmini finala s tijesnih 0-0, 4-3 i 0-1 ostala bez prilike borit se za medalju. Grkinja Theopoula Sarvanaki otišla je dalje i stigla do srebra na svijetu.

Trećeg dana svjetskog prvenstva na tatami izlaze Bruna Duvančić do 49 kilograma i Leon Glasnović do 68 kilograma.
