Braća Petrović, Dražen i Aleksandar, i Dejan Bodiroga, rođaci su po muškoj liniji. Baka Dejana Bodiroge Gospava iz Janjača - Košena dola kod Trebinja, nosila je djevojačko ime Petrović. Gospava i Niko Petrović, Draženov i Aleksandrov djed, rođeni su brat i sestra.

Tko god navrati u Trebinje, domaći će mu se ljudi rado pohvaliti da je taj kraj dao hrvatske košarkaše - braću Petrović i srpskog čuvenog sportaša Dejana Bodirogu, koji je medijima otkrio da su mu Petrovići iz Šibenika rod rođeni.

Draženov otac Jovo kao kolonist se poslije Drugog svjetskog rata s obitelji preselio u Zemun, gdje i danas ima Petrovića. Odatle je Jovo ili Jole, kako su ga zvali njegovi bližnji i prijatelji, otišao u Šibenik. Jovan Petrović, zaposlenik SUP-a na odgovornim dužnostima, oženio je knjižničarku Biserku. Dobili su dva sina, čijem se raskošnom talentu divila cijela Jugoslavija.

Dražena Petrovića i dandanas mnogi smatraju našim najboljim košarkašem svih vremena, a za njegova rođaka Dejana Bodirogu košarkaški znalci vele da je najbolji igrač koji nikada nije igrao u NBA ligi.        

Dražen Petrović poginuo je u prometnoj nesreći u njemačkom gradu Denkendorf, Baden-Württemberg, sedmog lipnja 1993. godine.

Upravo počinje snimanje igranog filma o Draženu Petroviću koji potpisuje redatelj Danilo Šerbedžija. "Nešto jače od mene – priča o Draženu Petroviću" ime je filma scenarista Ivana Turkovića-Krnjaka, a mladi glumac Domagoj Nižić igrat će košarkaškog Mozarta iz grada pod Šubićevcem.

Tko god navrati u Trebinje, domaći će mu se ljudi rado pohvaliti da je taj kraj dao hrvatske košarkaše - braću Petrović i srpskog čuvenog sportaša Dejana Bodirogu, koji je medijima otkrio da su mu Petrovići iz Šibenika rod rođeni.

Draženov otac Jovo kao kolonist se poslije Drugog svjetskog rata s obitelji preselio u Zemun, gdje i danas ima Petrovića. Odatle je Jovo ili Jole, kako su ga zvali njegovi bližnji i prijatelji, otišao u Šibenik. Jovan Petrović, zaposlenik SUP-a na odgovornim dužnostima, oženio je knjižničarku Biserku. Dobili su dva sina, čijem se raskošnom talentu divila cijela Jugoslavija.

Dražena Petrovića i dandanas mnogi smatraju našim najboljim košarkašem svih vremena, a za njegova rođaka Dejana Bodirogu košarkaški znalci vele da je najbolji igrač koji nikada nije igrao u NBA ligi.        

Dražen Petrović poginuo je u prometnoj nesreći u njemačkom gradu Denkendorf, Baden-Württemberg, sedmog lipnja 1993. godine.

Upravo počinje snimanje igranog filma o Draženu Petroviću koji potpisuje redatelj Danilo Šerbedžija. "Nešto jače od mene – priča o Draženu Petroviću" ime je filma scenarista Ivana Turkovića-Krnjaka, a mladi glumac Domagoj Nižić igrat će košarkaškog Mozarta iz grada pod Šubićevcem.

Braća Petrović, Dražen i Aleksandar, i Dejan Bodiroga, rođaci su po muškoj liniji. Baka Dejana Bodiroge Gospava iz Janjača - Košena dola kod Trebinja, nosila je djevojačko ime Petrović. Gospava i Niko Petrović, Draženov i Aleksandrov djed, rođeni su brat i sestra.
