U Muzeju grada Rijeke u petak je predstavljen hrvatski prijevod memoara Georga von Trappa, zapovjednika podmornice Austro-ugarske mornarice u Prvom svjetskom ratu, poznatog svjetskoj javnosti po proslavljenom američkom filmu "Moje pjesme, moji snovi" iz 1965. godine.

Svoje ratne dane austro-ugarski mornarički časnik von Trapp je sabrao u memoarima "Do posljednjeg pozdrava zastavi" ("Bis zum letzten Flaggenschuss").

Hrvatsko izdanje knjige "Do posljednjeg pozdrav zastavi", koje su objavili Državni arhiv u Zadru i Hrvatski institut za povijest, predstavlja se u povodu 75. godišnjice smrti Georga von Trappa.

Memoari su prvi put objavljeni 1935. godine, a obuhvaćaju razdoblje do kraja Prvog svjetskog rata, odnosno nestanka Austro-Ugarske monarhije.

Ravnatelj Državnog arhiva u Zadru Ante Gverić ocijenio je kako je ovo izdanje vrijedno jer svjedoči o ključnim povijesnim događanjima u Europi s osobnim pogledom, unoseći emocije.

Von Trappov život je vezan uz duboke transformacije u 20. stoljeću, a posebno je bio vezan uz hrvatske krajeve, rekao je Gverić.

Naime, Georg von Trapp rodio se u Zadru 1880. godine, a Mornaričku akademiju završio je u Rijeci.

Tamo se vjenčao s Agathom Whitehead, unukom riječkog industrijalca Roberta Whiteheada i graditelja torpeda, s kojom je imao sedmoro djece.

Obitelj se nastanila u raskošnoj vili u Puli, nakon izbijanja Prvog svjetskog rata odselila se u Austriju, a Georg von Trapp je postao zapovjednik podmornice Austro-Ugarske mornarice.

Unatoč tehnološkim nedostatcima podmornice, postao je najuspješniji podmornički zapovjednik Carske mornarice, rekao je urednik knjige Boris Blažina.

Georg von Trapp svjetskoj javnosti postao je poznat po proslavljenom Oskarom nagrađenom američkom filmu iz 1965. "Moje pjesme, moji snovi", kojeg je režirao Robert Wise, a koji u osnovnim crtama vjerno prikazuje povijesne okolnosti, ali ne govori ništa o njegovoj ratnoj priči ni vezi s Hrvatskom, naveo je.

Zato je važna ova knjiga, dojmljivo i čitko napisano djelo, koja želi čitatelju prenijeti dojam kako se služilo u mornarici, a posebno u podmornici, kakav je bio osjećaj rata i nestanka carstva, rekao je Blažina.

O Georgovu životu govorila je njegova unuka Johanna von Trapp.

Nakon naglog prekida vojne karijere, gubitka velikog dijela imovine i smrti supruge, Georg von Trapp pronašao je novi život u glazbi.

Također je pronašao novu ljubav te osnovao svjetski glasoviti Zbor obitelji von Trapp.

Georg von Trapp je odbio služiti u nacističkoj mornarici, pa je s obitelji prebjegao u SAD, gdje je 1947. umro.

Ovom prigodom predstavljeno je i vrijedno arheološko otkriće dijela torpeda kojim je von Trappova podmornica potopila talijansku podmornicu Nereide kod Palagruže.

Dio torpeda pronašli su članovi hrvatske arheološke ekspedicije Ivan Jambor i Marino Brzac. Predmet će nakon restauriranja i konzerviranja postati dio zbirke torpeda u Muzeju grada Rijeke.

U Muzeju grada Rijeke u petak je predstavljen hrvatski prijevod memoara Georga von Trappa, zapovjednika podmornice Austro-ugarske mornarice u Prvom svjetskom ratu, poznatog svjetskoj javnosti po proslavljenom američkom filmu "Moje pjesme, moji snovi" iz 1965. godine.

Svoje ratne dane austro-ugarski mornarički časnik von Trapp je sabrao u memoarima "Do posljednjeg pozdrava zastavi" ("Bis zum letzten Flaggenschuss").

Hrvatsko izdanje knjige "Do posljednjeg pozdrav zastavi", koje su objavili Državni arhiv u Zadru i Hrvatski institut za povijest, predstavlja se u povodu 75. godišnjice smrti Georga von Trappa.

Memoari su prvi put objavljeni 1935. godine, a obuhvaćaju razdoblje do kraja Prvog svjetskog rata, odnosno nestanka Austro-Ugarske monarhije.

Ravnatelj Državnog arhiva u Zadru Ante Gverić ocijenio je kako je ovo izdanje vrijedno jer svjedoči o ključnim povijesnim događanjima u Europi s osobnim pogledom, unoseći emocije.

Von Trappov život je vezan uz duboke transformacije u 20. stoljeću, a posebno je bio vezan uz hrvatske krajeve, rekao je Gverić.

Naime, Georg von Trapp rodio se u Zadru 1880. godine, a Mornaričku akademiju završio je u Rijeci.

Tamo se vjenčao s Agathom Whitehead, unukom riječkog industrijalca Roberta Whiteheada i graditelja torpeda, s kojom je imao sedmoro djece.

Obitelj se nastanila u raskošnoj vili u Puli, nakon izbijanja Prvog svjetskog rata odselila se u Austriju, a Georg von Trapp je postao zapovjednik podmornice Austro-Ugarske mornarice.

Unatoč tehnološkim nedostatcima podmornice, postao je najuspješniji podmornički zapovjednik Carske mornarice, rekao je urednik knjige Boris Blažina.

Georg von Trapp svjetskoj javnosti postao je poznat po proslavljenom Oskarom nagrađenom američkom filmu iz 1965. "Moje pjesme, moji snovi", kojeg je režirao Robert Wise, a koji u osnovnim crtama vjerno prikazuje povijesne okolnosti, ali ne govori ništa o njegovoj ratnoj priči ni vezi s Hrvatskom, naveo je.

Zato je važna ova knjiga, dojmljivo i čitko napisano djelo, koja želi čitatelju prenijeti dojam kako se služilo u mornarici, a posebno u podmornici, kakav je bio osjećaj rata i nestanka carstva, rekao je Blažina.

O Georgovu životu govorila je njegova unuka Johanna von Trapp.

Nakon naglog prekida vojne karijere, gubitka velikog dijela imovine i smrti supruge, Georg von Trapp pronašao je novi život u glazbi.

Također je pronašao novu ljubav te osnovao svjetski glasoviti Zbor obitelji von Trapp.

Georg von Trapp je odbio služiti u nacističkoj mornarici, pa je s obitelji prebjegao u SAD, gdje je 1947. umro.

Ovom prigodom predstavljeno je i vrijedno arheološko otkriće dijela torpeda kojim je von Trappova podmornica potopila talijansku podmornicu Nereide kod Palagruže.

Dio torpeda pronašli su članovi hrvatske arheološke ekspedicije Ivan Jambor i Marino Brzac. Predmet će nakon restauriranja i konzerviranja postati dio zbirke torpeda u Muzeju grada Rijeke.
