Stypopodium schimperii je smeđa alga koja potječe iz Indijskog oceana, a Sredozemlje je vjerojatno naselila prolaskom kroz Sueski kanal. Prva zabilježba bila je u Izraelu oko 1973. godine. Daljnjim širenjem, zahvatila je obale istočnog dijela Sredozemlja, a zabilježena je i u Egejskom i Jonskom moru u Grčkoj.

- U jesen 2020. pronašli smo nekoliko primjeraka uz otok Vis, blizu Komiže. Kroz godinu dana brojnost je porasla na tisuće jedinki. Našim zadnjim istraživanjima provedenim krajem svibnja 2022. godine, utvrdili smo kako Stypopodium schimperii trenutno predstavlja stranu vrstu alge s najvećim invazivnim potencijalom u našem podmorju - objavio je Institut za oceanografiju i ribarstvo na svojoj Facebook stranici.

Nije moguće predvidjeti hoće li se Stypopodium schimperii uskoro posvuda proširiti našim podmorjem ili će nakon početnog snažnog razvoja, doći do njegovog povlačenja, što se često događa sa stranim vrstama.

Možda je alga već prisutna i na drugim mjestima osim oko Komiže na Visu, pa ako je uočite, obavezno nam javite. Slikajte je pod morem ili izvadite zbog fotografiranja na kopno. Alga nalikuje našoj zavičajnoj vrsti naziva Padina pavonica, ali je padina izrazito bijela, za razliku od oker boje strane vrste Stypopodium schimperii, a koja ponekad i iridizira plavkastim nijansama. Ujedno je strana alga i puno veća, te može doseći dimenzije od preko 40 cm, a zavičajna padina rijetko do 20 cm.

Pronalazak vrste Stypopodium schimperii rezultat je provedbe projekta „Benthic NIS“ (IP-2019-04-6702) kojeg financira Hrvatska zaklada za znanost - objavio je Institut za oceanografiju i ribarstvo na svojoj Facebook stranici.

Stypopodium schimperii je smeđa alga koja potječe iz Indijskog oceana, a Sredozemlje je vjerojatno naselila prolaskom kroz Sueski kanal. Prva zabilježba bila je u Izraelu oko 1973. godine. Daljnjim širenjem, zahvatila je obale istočnog dijela Sredozemlja, a zabilježena je i u Egejskom i Jonskom moru u Grčkoj.

- U jesen 2020. pronašli smo nekoliko primjeraka uz otok Vis, blizu Komiže. Kroz godinu dana brojnost je porasla na tisuće jedinki. Našim zadnjim istraživanjima provedenim krajem svibnja 2022. godine, utvrdili smo kako Stypopodium schimperii trenutno predstavlja stranu vrstu alge s najvećim invazivnim potencijalom u našem podmorju - objavio je Institut za oceanografiju i ribarstvo na svojoj Facebook stranici.

- Pogledajte fotografije, alga danas prekriva 100% morsko dno na mnogim mjestima oko Komiže, potpuno potiskujući naše alge na stjenovitom dnu između 5 i 15 m dubine!

Nije moguće predvidjeti hoće li se Stypopodium schimperii uskoro posvuda proširiti našim podmorjem ili će nakon početnog snažnog razvoja, doći do njegovog povlačenja, što se često događa sa stranim vrstama.

Možda je alga već prisutna i na drugim mjestima osim oko Komiže na Visu, pa ako je uočite, obavezno nam javite. Slikajte je pod morem ili izvadite zbog fotografiranja na kopno. Alga nalikuje našoj zavičajnoj vrsti naziva Padina pavonica, ali je padina izrazito bijela, za razliku od oker boje strane vrste Stypopodium schimperii, a koja ponekad i iridizira plavkastim nijansama. Ujedno je strana alga i puno veća, te može doseći dimenzije od preko 40 cm, a zavičajna padina rijetko do 20 cm.

Pronalazak vrste Stypopodium schimperii rezultat je provedbe projekta „Benthic NIS“ (IP-2019-04-6702) kojeg financira Hrvatska zaklada za znanost - objavio je Institut za oceanografiju i ribarstvo na svojoj Facebook stranici.

Stypopodium schimperii je smeđa alga koja potječe iz Indijskog oceana, a Sredozemlje je vjerojatno naselila prolaskom kroz Sueski kanal. Prva zabilježba bila je u Izraelu oko 1973. godine. Daljnjim širenjem, zahvatila je obale istočnog dijela Sredozemlja, a zabilježena je i u Egejskom i Jonskom moru u Grčkoj.

- U jesen 2020. pronašli smo nekoliko primjeraka uz otok Vis, blizu Komiže. Kroz godinu dana brojnost je porasla na tisuće jedinki. Našim zadnjim istraživanjima provedenim krajem svibnja 2022. godine, utvrdili smo kako Stypopodium schimperii trenutno predstavlja stranu vrstu alge s najvećim invazivnim potencijalom u našem podmorju - objavio je Institut za oceanografiju i ribarstvo na svojoj Facebook stranici.

- Pogledajte fotografije, alga danas prekriva 100% morsko dno na mnogim mjestima oko Komiže, potpuno potiskujući naše alge na stjenovitom dnu između 5 i 15 m dubine!

Nije moguće predvidjeti hoće li se Stypopodium schimperii uskoro posvuda proširiti našim podmorjem ili će nakon početnog snažnog razvoja, doći do njegovog povlačenja, što se često događa sa stranim vrstama.

Možda je alga već prisutna i na drugim mjestima osim oko Komiže na Visu, pa ako je uočite, obavezno nam javite. Slikajte je pod morem ili izvadite zbog fotografiranja na kopno. Alga nalikuje našoj zavičajnoj vrsti naziva Padina pavonica, ali je padina izrazito bijela, za razliku od oker boje strane vrste Stypopodium schimperii, a koja ponekad i iridizira plavkastim nijansama. Ujedno je strana alga i puno veća, te može doseći dimenzije od preko 40 cm, a zavičajna padina rijetko do 20 cm.

Pronalazak vrste Stypopodium schimperii rezultat je provedbe projekta „Benthic NIS“ (IP-2019-04-6702) kojeg financira Hrvatska zaklada za znanost - objavio je Institut za oceanografiju i ribarstvo na svojoj Facebook stranici.
