Kao u filmu Pirati s Kariba, iz ovih valova kao da izlaze ljudska lica opasnih namjera i izraza. Prizor je to s kojim se možda lijepo sresti na fotografiji, ali je u stvarnosti noćna mora svakoga moreplovca. Postoje mnoge priče o najvećim valovima na svijetu, no neke od njih su, na sreću, upravo to, samo priče.

Visina valova mjeri se posebnim uređajima, kao što su mjerne plutače postavljene na raznim mjestima na obalama mora kao i u samome moru. Doduše, ti uređaji koji mjere visinu valova nisu aktivni non-stop, tako da najveći zabilježeni val nije nužno i najveći koji se na toj lokaciji dogodio.

No kada je riječ o službenim podacima, najveći valovi na svijetu, visoki čak 23,8 metara, zabilježeni su u Južnom oceanu nedaleko od Novog Zelanda. To je približno visina zgrade od 8 katova. Stručnjaci smatraju da je za vrijeme tog nevremena bilo i većih valova, no kako mjerna stanica ne snima bez prestanka, to se ne može reći sa sigurnošću, zbog čega se kao službeni navodi spomenuti podatak.

Kao u filmu Pirati s Kariba, iz ovih valova kao da izlaze ljudska lica opasnih namjera i izraza. Prizor je to s kojim se možda lijepo sresti na fotografiji, ali je u stvarnosti noćna mora svakoga moreplovca. Postoje mnoge priče o najvećim valovima na svijetu, no neke od njih su, na sreću, upravo to, samo priče.

Visina valova mjeri se posebnim uređajima, kao što su mjerne plutače postavljene na raznim mjestima na obalama mora kao i u samome moru. Doduše, ti uređaji koji mjere visinu valova nisu aktivni non-stop, tako da najveći zabilježeni val nije nužno i najveći koji se na toj lokaciji dogodio.

No kada je riječ o službenim podacima, najveći valovi na svijetu, visoki čak 23,8 metara, zabilježeni su u Južnom oceanu nedaleko od Novog Zelanda. To je približno visina zgrade od 8 katova. Stručnjaci smatraju da je za vrijeme tog nevremena bilo i većih valova, no kako mjerna stanica ne snima bez prestanka, to se ne može reći sa sigurnošću, zbog čega se kao službeni navodi spomenuti podatak.

SNAGA PRIRODEZnate li koliko je bio visok najveći val na svijetu? Evo što kažu službena mjerenja

Kao u filmu Pirati s Kariba, iz ovih valova kao da izlaze ljudska lica opasnih namjera i izraza. Prizor je to s kojim se možda lijepo sresti na fotografiji, ali je u stvarnosti noćna mora svakoga moreplovca. Postoje mnoge priče o najvećim valovima na svijetu, no neke od njih su, na sreću, upravo to, samo priče.

Visina valova mjeri se posebnim uređajima, kao što su mjerne plutače postavljene na raznim mjestima na obalama mora kao i u samome moru. Doduše, ti uređaji koji mjere visinu valova nisu aktivni non-stop, tako da najveći zabilježeni val nije nužno i najveći koji se na toj lokaciji dogodio.

No kada je riječ o službenim podacima, najveći valovi na svijetu, visoki čak 23,8 metara, zabilježeni su u Južnom oceanu nedaleko od Novog Zelanda. To je približno visina zgrade od 8 katova. Stručnjaci smatraju da je za vrijeme tog nevremena bilo i većih valova, no kako mjerna stanica ne snima bez prestanka, to se ne može reći sa sigurnošću, zbog čega se kao službeni navodi spomenuti podatak.
