Jedan od najstarijih kruzera na svijetu Astoria koji plovi pod portugalskom zastavom i iza sebe ima bogatu i burnu povijest, na prodaji je, prenosi fleetmon.com.

Brod je sagrađen 1948. godine u Goeteborgu, pod imenom Stockholm. Sa duljinom od 160 metara mogao je ugostiti skoro 400 putnika i vozio je iz grada Goeteborga u Švedskoj za New York.

Poznat je po tome što je 25. srpnja 1956. godine sudjelovao u pomorskoj nesreći kod obale Nuntucketa u blizini New Yorka kada se sudario s talijanskim brodom ‘Andrea Doria‘, jednim od najboljih putničkih brodova svih vremena.

Budući da radarska tehnologija tada nije bila tako napredna, došlo je do silovitog sudara. Talijanski brod je nakon 11 sati potonuo, a u nesreći je poginulo 49 putnika i članova posade, dok su 1662 putnika spašena prekrvavši se na Stockhoml te ostale brodove koji su se nalazili u blizini. Brod Stockholm u toj nesreći izgubio je pet članova posade.

Nakon popravka koji je iznosio oko milijun američkih dolara, Stockoholm je nastavio ploviti, samo je često mijenjao imena, vlasnike i zastavu pod kojom je plovio. Zanimljivo je da je često dolazio u Dubrovnik pod njemačkom zastavom i imenom Voelkerfreundschaf, kasnije pod imenom Athena, a potom opet Astoria.

Tijekom pandemije, brod je bio na vezu u luci Rotterdam. Nagađanja su da je namjenjen za scraping, odnosno uništavanje ili prenamjenu, no vlasnici su to demantirali te izjavili kako brod traži novog vlasnika.

Jedan od najstarijih kruzera na svijetu Astoria koji plovi pod portugalskom zastavom i iza sebe ima bogatu i burnu povijest, na prodaji je, prenosi fleetmon.com.

Brod je sagrađen 1948. godine u Goeteborgu, pod imenom Stockholm. Sa duljinom od 160 metara mogao je ugostiti skoro 400 putnika i vozio je iz grada Goeteborga u Švedskoj za New York.

Poznat je po tome što je 25. srpnja 1956. godine sudjelovao u pomorskoj nesreći kod obale Nuntucketa u blizini New Yorka kada se sudario s talijanskim brodom ‘Andrea Doria‘, jednim od najboljih putničkih brodova svih vremena.

Budući da radarska tehnologija tada nije bila tako napredna, došlo je do silovitog sudara. Talijanski brod je nakon 11 sati potonuo, a u nesreći je poginulo 49 putnika i članova posade, dok su 1662 putnika spašena prekrvavši se na Stockhoml te ostale brodove koji su se nalazili u blizini. Brod Stockholm u toj nesreći izgubio je pet članova posade.

Nakon popravka koji je iznosio oko milijun američkih dolara, Stockoholm je nastavio ploviti, samo je često mijenjao imena, vlasnike i zastavu pod kojom je plovio. Zanimljivo je da je često dolazio u Dubrovnik pod njemačkom zastavom i imenom Voelkerfreundschaf, kasnije pod imenom Athena, a potom opet Astoria.

Tijekom pandemije, brod je bio na vezu u luci Rotterdam. Nagađanja su da je namjenjen za scraping, odnosno uništavanje ili prenamjenu, no vlasnici su to demantirali te izjavili kako brod traži novog vlasnika.

Jedan od najstarijih kruzera na svijetu Astoria koji plovi pod portugalskom zastavom i iza sebe ima bogatu i burnu povijest, na prodaji je, prenosi fleetmon.com.

Brod je sagrađen 1948. godine u Goeteborgu, pod imenom Stockholm. Sa duljinom od 160 metara mogao je ugostiti skoro 400 putnika i vozio je iz grada Goeteborga u Švedskoj za New York.

Poznat je po tome što je 25. srpnja 1956. godine sudjelovao u pomorskoj nesreći kod obale Nuntucketa u blizini New Yorka kada se sudario s talijanskim brodom ‘Andrea Doria‘, jednim od najboljih putničkih brodova svih vremena.

Budući da radarska tehnologija tada nije bila tako napredna, došlo je do silovitog sudara. Talijanski brod je nakon 11 sati potonuo, a u nesreći je poginulo 49 putnika i članova posade, dok su 1662 putnika spašena prekrvavši se na Stockhoml te ostale brodove koji su se nalazili u blizini. Brod Stockholm u toj nesreći izgubio je pet članova posade.

Nakon popravka koji je iznosio oko milijun američkih dolara, Stockoholm je nastavio ploviti, samo je često mijenjao imena, vlasnike i zastavu pod kojom je plovio. Zanimljivo je da je često dolazio u Dubrovnik pod njemačkom zastavom i imenom Voelkerfreundschaf, kasnije pod imenom Athena, a potom opet Astoria.

Tijekom pandemije, brod je bio na vezu u luci Rotterdam. Nagađanja su da je namjenjen za scraping, odnosno uništavanje ili prenamjenu, no vlasnici su to demantirali te izjavili kako brod traži novog vlasnika.
