Kruzer Carnival Vista, tvrtke Carnival Cruise Line, spasio je šest članova posade s potonulog, malog teretnog broda tijekom noći, 13. prosinca, otprilike 30 milja sjeverno od grada Puerto Plata u Dominikanskoj Republici. Kasnije se u potragu uključila i Američka obalna straža te pronašla još šest članova posade kako plutaju u oceanu, piše The Maritime Executive,a prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Prema izvješću, nadzorni sustav kruzera primio je uzbunu za hitne slučajeve dok je plovio prema luci Amber Cove na sjevernoj obali Dominikanske Republike. Carnival Vista, težine 133.500 bruto tona i kapaciteta za otprilike 4.000 putnika, isplovio je iz Port Canaverala na Floridi u nedjelju, 10. prosinca, na šestodnevno krstarenje.

Časnici kruzera pod vodstvom kapetana Paola Severinija promijenili su kurs broda nakon što su primili hitnu dojavu. Bili su u koordinaciji s operativnim centrom Carnivala u Miamiju i lokalnom obalnom stražom.

Došavši do područja uzbune, brodski su časnici uočili splav za spašavanje. Kruzer se zaustavio i izvukao splav sa šest članova posade s potonulog teretnog broda. Saznali su da je još šest članova posade nestalo, na što su upozorili mornaricu Dominikanske Republike.

Dominikanska Republika zatražila je pomoć od Američke obalne straže, a pokrenut je i helikopter MH-60 Jayhawk u potrazi za preostalim članovima posade, ističe The Maritime Executive.

Kompanija Carnival izvještava da se Carnival Vista vratio na svoju rutu. Brod za krstarenje stigao je jučer u Amber Cove prema rasporedu.

Posada Jayhawka stigla je blizu mjesta potonulog broda i pokrenula potragu. Uspjeli su locirati svih šest nestalih članova posade koji su visili na krhotinama potonulog plovila koje je Obalna straža identificirala kao Two Brothers. Poslali su spasioca i podignuli svih šestero preživjelih u helikopter. Prebačeni su u hitnu medicinsku pomoć u Puerto Plati.

“Vremenski uvjeti nisu bili idealni,” rekao je potpukovnik Jeb Slick, kopilot misije. “Izvanredna radna etika naše posade i predanost obuci doveli su do uspješnog spašavanja”.

Svih 12 preživjelih je u dobrom stanju i nalaze se u Dominikanskoj Republici.

Kruzer Carnival Vista, tvrtke Carnival Cruise Line, spasio je šest članova posade s potonulog, malog teretnog broda tijekom noći, 13. prosinca, otprilike 30 milja sjeverno od grada Puerto Plata u Dominikanskoj Republici. Kasnije se u potragu uključila i Američka obalna straža te pronašla još šest članova posade kako plutaju u oceanu, piše The Maritime Executive,a prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Prema izvješću, nadzorni sustav kruzera primio je uzbunu za hitne slučajeve dok je plovio prema luci Amber Cove na sjevernoj obali Dominikanske Republike. Carnival Vista, težine 133.500 bruto tona i kapaciteta za otprilike 4.000 putnika, isplovio je iz Port Canaverala na Floridi u nedjelju, 10. prosinca, na šestodnevno krstarenje.

Časnici kruzera pod vodstvom kapetana Paola Severinija promijenili su kurs broda nakon što su primili hitnu dojavu. Bili su u koordinaciji s operativnim centrom Carnivala u Miamiju i lokalnom obalnom stražom.

Došavši do područja uzbune, brodski su časnici uočili splav za spašavanje. Kruzer se zaustavio i izvukao splav sa šest članova posade s potonulog teretnog broda. Saznali su da je još šest članova posade nestalo, na što su upozorili mornaricu Dominikanske Republike.

Dominikanska Republika zatražila je pomoć od Američke obalne straže, a pokrenut je i helikopter MH-60 Jayhawk u potrazi za preostalim članovima posade, ističe The Maritime Executive.

Kompanija Carnival izvještava da se Carnival Vista vratio na svoju rutu. Brod za krstarenje stigao je jučer u Amber Cove prema rasporedu.

Posada Jayhawka stigla je blizu mjesta potonulog broda i pokrenula potragu. Uspjeli su locirati svih šest nestalih članova posade koji su visili na krhotinama potonulog plovila koje je Obalna straža identificirala kao Two Brothers. Poslali su spasioca i podignuli svih šestero preživjelih u helikopter. Prebačeni su u hitnu medicinsku pomoć u Puerto Plati.

“Vremenski uvjeti nisu bili idealni,” rekao je potpukovnik Jeb Slick, kopilot misije. “Izvanredna radna etika naše posade i predanost obuci doveli su do uspješnog spašavanja”.

Svih 12 preživjelih je u dobrom stanju i nalaze se u Dominikanskoj Republici.

Kruzer Carnival Vista, tvrtke Carnival Cruise Line, spasio je šest članova posade s potonulog, malog teretnog broda tijekom noći, 13. prosinca, otprilike 30 milja sjeverno od grada Puerto Plata u Dominikanskoj Republici. Kasnije se u potragu uključila i Američka obalna straža te pronašla još šest članova posade kako plutaju u oceanu, piše The Maritime Executive,a prenosi Pomorac.hr.

Prema izvješću, nadzorni sustav kruzera primio je uzbunu za hitne slučajeve dok je plovio prema luci Amber Cove na sjevernoj obali Dominikanske Republike. Carnival Vista, težine 133.500 bruto tona i kapaciteta za otprilike 4.000 putnika, isplovio je iz Port Canaverala na Floridi u nedjelju, 10. prosinca, na šestodnevno krstarenje.

Časnici kruzera pod vodstvom kapetana Paola Severinija promijenili su kurs broda nakon što su primili hitnu dojavu. Bili su u koordinaciji s operativnim centrom Carnivala u Miamiju i lokalnom obalnom stražom.
