Francuski otok La Reunion u Indijskom oceanu dospio je na loš glas zbog učestalih napada morskih pasa na surfere i kupače. Nikakvo čudo s obzirom na to da je u protekle tri godine zabilježeno 27 smrtonosnih napada. Štoviše, u akvatoriju tog otoka se od 2011. do 2016. dogodilo čak 16 posto svih svjetskih napada s kobnim posljedicama.

Francuske vlasti su, međutim, odlučile tomu stati na kraj pa su uvele nove sigurnosne mjere otvaranjem surferske sezone u zaljevu Saint-Leu 26. ožujka. Strategiju u smislu minimaliziranja napada osmislili su i provode Leu Tropical Surf Team i Centre Securite Requin (Shark Safety Centre).

Mjere uključuju stalne patrole brodovima, dnevne analize potencijalnih opasnosti, zabranu ribolova noću, kao i postavljanje niza plutača koje će javljati čim se u blizini pojave morski psi.

Isto tako surferi na daskama moraju imati uređaj Shark Shield, kao što ga ima djevojka na fotografiji, koji stvara elektromagnetsko polje za odvraćanje napada morskih pasa.

Iako javnost pozdravlja uvođenje nove strategije, ima i onih što tvrde da je njihova učinkovitost upitna budući da se otok La Reunion nalazi na tzv. Autoputu morskih pasa (Shark highway) između Australije i Južne Afrike, pa se velike psine tradicionalno oko njega rado odmaraju i love druge životinje, kojih blizu brojnih koraljnih grebena ima puno.

Francuski otok La Reunion u Indijskom oceanu dospio je na loš glas zbog učestalih napada morskih pasa na surfere i kupače. Nikakvo čudo s obzirom na to da je u protekle tri godine zabilježeno 27 smrtonosnih napada. Štoviše, u akvatoriju tog otoka se od 2011. do 2016. dogodilo čak 16 posto svih svjetskih napada s kobnim posljedicama.

Francuske vlasti su, međutim, odlučile tomu stati na kraj pa su uvele nove sigurnosne mjere otvaranjem surferske sezone u zaljevu Saint-Leu 26. ožujka. Strategiju u smislu minimaliziranja napada osmislili su i provode Leu Tropical Surf Team i Centre Securite Requin (Shark Safety Centre).

Mjere uključuju stalne patrole brodovima, dnevne analize potencijalnih opasnosti, zabranu ribolova noću, kao i postavljanje niza plutača koje će javljati čim se u blizini pojave morski psi.

Isto tako surferi na daskama moraju imati uređaj Shark Shield, kao što ga ima djevojka na fotografiji, koji stvara elektromagnetsko polje za odvraćanje napada morskih pasa.

Iako javnost pozdravlja uvođenje nove strategije, ima i onih što tvrde da je njihova učinkovitost upitna budući da se otok La Reunion nalazi na tzv. Autoputu morskih pasa (Shark highway) između Australije i Južne Afrike, pa se velike psine tradicionalno oko njega rado odmaraju i love druge životinje, kojih blizu brojnih koraljnih grebena ima puno.

NOVE MJERE SIGURNOSTI‘Borba‘ protiv morskih pasa: surferi moraju imati uređaj koji stvara elektromagnetsko polje za odvraćanje napada

Francuski otok La Reunion u Indijskom oceanu dospio je na loš glas zbog učestalih napada morskih pasa na surfere i kupače. Nikakvo čudo s obzirom na to da je u protekle tri godine zabilježeno 27 smrtonosnih napada. Štoviše, u akvatoriju tog otoka se od 2011. do 2016. dogodilo čak 16 posto svih svjetskih napada s kobnim posljedicama.

Francuske vlasti su, međutim, odlučile tomu stati na kraj pa su uvele nove sigurnosne mjere otvaranjem surferske sezone u zaljevu Saint-Leu 26. ožujka. Strategiju u smislu minimaliziranja napada osmislili su i provode Leu Tropical Surf Team i Centre Securite Requin (Shark Safety Centre).

Mjere uključuju stalne patrole brodovima, dnevne analize potencijalnih opasnosti, zabranu ribolova noću, kao i postavljanje niza plutača koje će javljati čim se u blizini pojave morski psi.

Isto tako surferi na daskama moraju imati uređaj Shark Shield, kao što ga ima djevojka na fotografiji, koji stvara elektromagnetsko polje za odvraćanje napada morskih pasa.

Iako javnost pozdravlja uvođenje nove strategije, ima i onih što tvrde da je njihova učinkovitost upitna budući da se otok La Reunion nalazi na tzv. Autoputu morskih pasa (Shark highway) između Australije i Južne Afrike, pa se velike psine tradicionalno oko njega rado odmaraju i love druge životinje, kojih blizu brojnih koraljnih grebena ima puno.
