Brojne ribolovne tehnike i discipline zahtijevaju lov sa strunama tankog promjera, što je posebno naglašeno u natjecateljskom ribolovu.

Kada se takvim tankim sistemima ulovi krupniji plijen, potrebno je itekako kalkulirati da bi se ulov spasio. No, kad su u pitanju bukve ili ušate, koje natjecatelji u principu jako vole zbog njihove težine, tada često ne pomažu ni najpažljivije kalkulacije.

Naime, ove ribe za cijelo vrijeme izvlačenja neprestano grickaju pramu neposredno uz udicu, tako da ako prama ne pukne odmah pri prvom izvlačenju, sigurno puca u jednom od sljedećih.

Tome svakako pridonosi i činjenica da se završni dijelovi takvih sistema u pravilu izvode od fluorokarbona, koji je unatoč visokoj kvaliteti, zahvaljujući krutoj molekularnoj strukturi, na čvorovima uvijek manje nosivosti od klasičnih monofila.

A da bi se takav gubitak lovine izbjegao, ne treba puno mudrosti. Sukana prama taj problem rješava vrlo uspješno.

Naime, uz udvojenu strunu grickanje prame nema efekta, jer tako usukana struna u svakom pokušaju pregrizanja pod zubima jednostavno bježi.

Formiranje sukane prame nije teško, kako se i vidi iz priloženih fotografija na kojima je radi lakšeg i jasnijeg prikaza korištena predimenzionirana udica i deblja plastična nit.

Udica se vezuje klasičnim sneeling a hook čvorom, pri čemu je potrebno ostaviti rep dug barem 15 cm

Donji kraj, koji se nakon vezivanja obično odreže, ovdje se nekoliko puta omata oko udice prema pločici ili ušici

Brojne ribolovne tehnike i discipline zahtijevaju lov sa strunama tankog promjera, što je posebno naglašeno u natjecateljskom ribolovu.

Kada se takvim tankim sistemima ulovi krupniji plijen, potrebno je itekako kalkulirati da bi se ulov spasio. No, kad su u pitanju bukve ili ušate, koje natjecatelji u principu jako vole zbog njihove težine, tada često ne pomažu ni najpažljivije kalkulacije.

Naime, ove ribe za cijelo vrijeme izvlačenja neprestano grickaju pramu neposredno uz udicu, tako da ako prama ne pukne odmah pri prvom izvlačenju, sigurno puca u jednom od sljedećih.

Tome svakako pridonosi i činjenica da se završni dijelovi takvih sistema u pravilu izvode od fluorokarbona, koji je unatoč visokoj kvaliteti, zahvaljujući krutoj molekularnoj strukturi, na čvorovima uvijek manje nosivosti od klasičnih monofila.

A da bi se takav gubitak lovine izbjegao, ne treba puno mudrosti. Sukana prama taj problem rješava vrlo uspješno.

Naime, uz udvojenu strunu grickanje prame nema efekta, jer tako usukana struna u svakom pokušaju pregrizanja pod zubima jednostavno bježi.

Formiranje sukane prame nije teško, kako se i vidi iz priloženih fotografija na kojima je radi lakšeg i jasnijeg prikaza korištena predimenzionirana udica i deblja plastična nit.
