Cjepiva protiv koronavirusa Pfizer/BioNTech i Moderna učinkovita su kod trudnica i dojilja koje mogu prenijeti antitjela na novorođenčad, prema rezultatima istraživanja objavljenima u četvrtak u časopisu American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Znanstvenici iz bolnica Massachusetts General i  Brigham and Women's, instituta Ragon pri MGH, sveučilišta MIT i Harvard proučili su 131 ženu cijepljenu cjepivom  Pfizer/BioNTech ili Moderna, prenio je CNN. Među njima 84 su trudnice, 31 su dojilje, a 16 nisu bile trudne.

Njihovi uzorci prikupljeni su od 17. prosinca 2020 do 2. ožujka 2021.

Razine antitijela, čiji je nastanak bio potaknut cijepljenjem, bile su podjednake  kod trudnica i dojilja, kao i kod žena koje nisu bile trudne. Tim je istaknuo da je razina antitijela nakon cijepljenja bila "upečatljivo veća" u odnosu na antitijela stvorena nakon zaraze koronavirusom tijekom trudnoće.

"Čini se da ta cjepiva djeluju iznimno učinkovito kod tih žena", kazala je jedna od znanstvenica Galit Alter, profesorica na institutu Ragon.

U dodatku na to tim je utvrdio da su žene 'proslijedile' ta zaštitna antitjela svojim bebama, a koja su izmjerena u majčinu mlijeku i posteljici.

"Gotovo sve majke proslijeđivale su prilično pristojnu razinu antitjela svojim bebama", kazala je Alter, dodajući da je potrebno dodatno istraživanje kako bi se shvatilo koliko ta zaštitna antitijela traju kod beba.

Ispitanice su koristile sustav Američkih centara za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti za prijavu nuspojava na cijepljenje.

Alter kaže da nema dokaza da je u toj skupini žena bilo više nuspojava ili intenzivnijih nuspojava u odnosu na opću populaciju.

Iako je tim utvrdio da je kod žena obuhvaćenih istraživanjem i cijepljenih s ta dva cjepiva razina antitijela slična, Alter je rekla da su pronašli višu razinu antitijela IgA kod trudnica cijepljenih Modernom.

Ona je dodala kako se ta vrsta antitijela može učinkovitije prenositi na bebe i tijekom duljeg vremena.

"Postoje neki razlozi za vjerovanje da više razine IgA imuniteta pružaju veću zaštitu", dodala je Alter. Ona kaže da je potrebno dodatno istraživanje toga otkrića kako bi se moglo bolje odlučivati o tome koja se cjepiva trebaju dati trudnicama.

Nedavno istraživanje utvrdilo je da cjepiva koja se temelje na glasničkoj RNK tehnologiji izazivaju stvaranje antitijela kod trudnica koja se mogu prenijeti bebama.

Trudnice i dojilje nisu bile obuhvaćene prvim kliničkim ispitivanjima cjepiva.

Bez podataka koji bi pomogli trudnicama da donesu odluku o vlastitom cijepljenju protiv koronavirusa Alter kaže da su dvije američke bolnice počele razgovarati s trudnim zdravstvenim djelatnicama o njihovu sudjelovanju u istraživanju koje je rezultiralo ovim podacima.

Prema Američkim centrima za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti trudnice s covidom-19 imaju veće rizike razvoja težeg oblika bolesti i veće rizike za prijevremeni porod.

CDC čeka rezultate novog istraživanja kojim je obuhvaćeno više od 3600 trudnica.

Cjepiva protiv koronavirusa Pfizer/BioNTech i Moderna učinkovita su kod trudnica i dojilja koje mogu prenijeti antitjela na novorođenčad, prema rezultatima istraživanja objavljenima u četvrtak u časopisu American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Znanstvenici iz bolnica Massachusetts General i  Brigham and Women's, instituta Ragon pri MGH, sveučilišta MIT i Harvard proučili su 131 ženu cijepljenu cjepivom  Pfizer/BioNTech ili Moderna, prenio je CNN. Među njima 84 su trudnice, 31 su dojilje, a 16 nisu bile trudne.

Njihovi uzorci prikupljeni su od 17. prosinca 2020 do 2. ožujka 2021.

Razine antitijela, čiji je nastanak bio potaknut cijepljenjem, bile su podjednake  kod trudnica i dojilja, kao i kod žena koje nisu bile trudne. Tim je istaknuo da je razina antitijela nakon cijepljenja bila "upečatljivo veća" u odnosu na antitijela stvorena nakon zaraze koronavirusom tijekom trudnoće.

"Čini se da ta cjepiva djeluju iznimno učinkovito kod tih žena", kazala je jedna od znanstvenica Galit Alter, profesorica na institutu Ragon.

U dodatku na to tim je utvrdio da su žene 'proslijedile' ta zaštitna antitjela svojim bebama, a koja su izmjerena u majčinu mlijeku i posteljici.

"Gotovo sve majke proslijeđivale su prilično pristojnu razinu antitjela svojim bebama", kazala je Alter, dodajući da je potrebno dodatno istraživanje kako bi se shvatilo koliko ta zaštitna antitijela traju kod beba.

Ispitanice su koristile sustav Američkih centara za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti za prijavu nuspojava na cijepljenje.

Alter kaže da nema dokaza da je u toj skupini žena bilo više nuspojava ili intenzivnijih nuspojava u odnosu na opću populaciju.

Iako je tim utvrdio da je kod žena obuhvaćenih istraživanjem i cijepljenih s ta dva cjepiva razina antitijela slična, Alter je rekla da su pronašli višu razinu antitijela IgA kod trudnica cijepljenih Modernom.

Ona je dodala kako se ta vrsta antitijela može učinkovitije prenositi na bebe i tijekom duljeg vremena.

"Postoje neki razlozi za vjerovanje da više razine IgA imuniteta pružaju veću zaštitu", dodala je Alter. Ona kaže da je potrebno dodatno istraživanje toga otkrića kako bi se moglo bolje odlučivati o tome koja se cjepiva trebaju dati trudnicama.

Nedavno istraživanje utvrdilo je da cjepiva koja se temelje na glasničkoj RNK tehnologiji izazivaju stvaranje antitijela kod trudnica koja se mogu prenijeti bebama.

Trudnice i dojilje nisu bile obuhvaćene prvim kliničkim ispitivanjima cjepiva.

Bez podataka koji bi pomogli trudnicama da donesu odluku o vlastitom cijepljenju protiv koronavirusa Alter kaže da su dvije američke bolnice počele razgovarati s trudnim zdravstvenim djelatnicama o njihovu sudjelovanju u istraživanju koje je rezultiralo ovim podacima.

Prema Američkim centrima za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti trudnice s covidom-19 imaju veće rizike razvoja težeg oblika bolesti i veće rizike za prijevremeni porod.

CDC čeka rezultate novog istraživanja kojim je obuhvaćeno više od 3600 trudnica.
