Nestanak pilotkinje Amelie Earhart u središnjem Pacifiku u srpnju 1937. godine, jedan od najvećih misterija zrakoplovne povijesti, možda je razriješen.
Naime, nakon nestanka Earhart prilikom njezinog pokušaja da obleti svijet, nastalo je mnoštvo teorija, ali ostatke njezinog aviona tipa Lockheed 10-E Electra nitko do sada nije uspio locirati.
No, ovaj je tjedan tim američke kompanije "Deep Sea Vision" obavijestio javnost kako je sonarom na dubini od gotovo 5000 metara u središtu Tihog oceana otkrio nešto što oblikom prilično podsjeća na nestali zrakoplov, navodi CBS News, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Potragu za nestalim zrakoplovom velikim je dijelom s 11 milijuna dolara financirao Tony Romeo, pilot i bivši američki obavještajac.

Amelia Earhart je s pilotom Fredom Noonanom nestala 2. srpnja 1937. godine. Nakon dvije godine potrage proglasili su ih mrtvima, a sve potrage za ostacima njihovog aviona do sada nisu dale nikakve rezultate. Postojale su teorije kako su sletjeli na neki od pustih otoka, a građani iz tisućama kilometara udaljenih lokacija, poput Teksasa, Floride i Iowe, zaklinjali su se kako su preko radio signala uhvatili njihove očajničke pozive u pomoć.
Romeo, kojem su se u ekspediciji pridružila dva njegova brata koji su također piloti, rekao je za Journal da je njihova zrakoplovna stručnost pružila svježu perspektivu tijekom potrage.

Nestanak pilotkinje Amelie Earhart u središnjem Pacifiku u srpnju 1937. godine, jedan od najvećih misterija zrakoplovne povijesti, možda je razriješen.
Naime, nakon nestanka Earhart prilikom njezinog pokušaja da obleti svijet, nastalo je mnoštvo teorija, ali ostatke njezinog aviona tipa Lockheed 10-E Electra nitko do sada nije uspio locirati.

Amelia Earhart je s pilotom Fredom Noonanom nestala 2. srpnja 1937. godine. Nakon dvije godine potrage proglasili su ih mrtvima, a sve potrage za ostacima njihovog aviona do sada nisu dale nikakve rezultate. Postojale su teorije kako su sletjeli na neki od pustih otoka, a građani iz tisućama kilometara udaljenih lokacija, poput Teksasa, Floride i Iowe, zaklinjali su se kako su preko radio signala uhvatili njihove očajničke pozive u pomoć.
Romeo, kojem su se u ekspediciji pridružila dva njegova brata koji su također piloti, rekao je za Journal da je njihova zrakoplovna stručnost pružila svježu perspektivu tijekom potrage.
