Evo o čemu se radi. Imate planet Zemlju koja se okreće ka istoku i imate avion koji leti iznad površine Zemlje prema zapadu. Ako spojite to dvoje, konačno odredište aviona će se, logično, kretati ka samom avionu dok se Zemlja okreće. A rezultat bi bio veoma kratak let od Moskve do Pariza, dok bi za povratni let bilo potrebno više vremena... To možda zvuči logično, ali razlog zašto ipak nije tako donosi National Geographic.

Kao prvo, dok se Zemlja okreće, ona povlači i sav zrak sa sobom, pa tako i onaj kroz koji avion prolazi. Na ekvatoru se Zemlja okreće i dvostruko brže nego što komercijalni avion može letjeti. Ta brzina se umanjuje dok prilazite polovima, ali uvijek će biti brža od aviona. Pošto se ne može mjeriti s rotacijom Zemlje, avion koji putuje prema zapadu, zapravo, putuje na istok, kao i čitava planet ispod njega. Avion samo ima motore koji mu pomažu da na istok putuje sporije od svega ostalog.

Kao drugo, postoje i mlazne struje. To su tokovi zračne struje, poput tunela u atmosferi, gdje se sreću topli i hladni zrak i mogu raditi sa, ili protiv vašeg aviona. Rotacija Zemlje kovitla ove vjetrove. Na sjevernoj hemisferi mlazna struja prelazi na istok, podstičući avione koji lete u tom smjeru. Brzina ovih struja kreće se od 130 do 225 kilometara na sat, a let u jednom od ovih tunela može aviokompaniji uštedjeti vrijeme, gorivo i novac.

Ako zaista želite iskoristiti putovanje mlaznim strujama, letite sa zapada na istok tijekom zime. Tada je razlika između toplog i hladnog vremena najdramatičnija, što čini ove struje još bržima, piše National Geographic.

Evo o čemu se radi. Imate planet Zemlju koja se okreće ka istoku i imate avion koji leti iznad površine Zemlje prema zapadu. Ako spojite to dvoje, konačno odredište aviona će se, logično, kretati ka samom avionu dok se Zemlja okreće. A rezultat bi bio veoma kratak let od Moskve do Pariza, dok bi za povratni let bilo potrebno više vremena... To možda zvuči logično, ali razlog zašto ipak nije tako donosi National Geographic.

Kao prvo, dok se Zemlja okreće, ona povlači i sav zrak sa sobom, pa tako i onaj kroz koji avion prolazi. Na ekvatoru se Zemlja okreće i dvostruko brže nego što komercijalni avion može letjeti. Ta brzina se umanjuje dok prilazite polovima, ali uvijek će biti brža od aviona. Pošto se ne može mjeriti s rotacijom Zemlje, avion koji putuje prema zapadu, zapravo, putuje na istok, kao i čitava planet ispod njega. Avion samo ima motore koji mu pomažu da na istok putuje sporije od svega ostalog.

Kao drugo, postoje i mlazne struje. To su tokovi zračne struje, poput tunela u atmosferi, gdje se sreću topli i hladni zrak i mogu raditi sa, ili protiv vašeg aviona. Rotacija Zemlje kovitla ove vjetrove. Na sjevernoj hemisferi mlazna struja prelazi na istok, podstičući avione koji lete u tom smjeru. Brzina ovih struja kreće se od 130 do 225 kilometara na sat, a let u jednom od ovih tunela može aviokompaniji uštedjeti vrijeme, gorivo i novac.

Ako zaista želite iskoristiti putovanje mlaznim strujama, letite sa zapada na istok tijekom zime. Tada je razlika između toplog i hladnog vremena najdramatičnija, što čini ove struje još bržima, piše National Geographic.

Evo o čemu se radi. Imate planet Zemlju koja se okreće ka istoku i imate avion koji leti iznad površine Zemlje prema zapadu. Ako spojite to dvoje, konačno odredište aviona će se, logično, kretati ka samom avionu dok se Zemlja okreće. A rezultat bi bio veoma kratak let od Moskve do Pariza, dok bi za povratni let bilo potrebno više vremena... To možda zvuči logično, ali razlog zašto ipak nije tako donosi National Geographic.

Kao prvo, dok se Zemlja okreće, ona povlači i sav zrak sa sobom, pa tako i onaj kroz koji avion prolazi. Na ekvatoru se Zemlja okreće i dvostruko brže nego što komercijalni avion može letjeti. Ta brzina se umanjuje dok prilazite polovima, ali uvijek će biti brža od aviona. Pošto se ne može mjeriti s rotacijom Zemlje, avion koji putuje prema zapadu, zapra...
