COBRA KAI
Ako je "Karate Kid" bio "Rocky" za mlade, "Cobra Kai" želi biti "Creed". Serijski nastavak filmske trilogije, čija treća sezona ima premijeru 1. siječnja 2021., prati starije likove na suprotnim stranama "dojoa" koji postaju treneri novim pokoljenjima – Daniela LaRussa i Johnnyja Lawrencea. Zanimljivo da "Cobra Kai" propituje tko je bio "dobar", a tko "loš" u "Karate Kidu" i nekako je naklonjeniji "negativcu" Johnnyju koji je spoj Randyja "The Ram" Robinsona iz "Hrvača" i Ivana Drage iz "Creeda II". Serija je više Johnnyjeva priča, kune se u osamdesete kao "Stranger Things" i uspijeva probuditi nekadašnje "Karate Kid" emocije barem u nastupnoj, znatno boljoj sezoni, osobito u prvim dvjema "vremeplovnim" epizodama.
YELLOWSTONE
Nakon što je oskarovski "Dances With Wolves" proslavio 30. rođendan, lijepo je znati da Kevin Costner još uvijek "pleše s vukovima" u filmu "Let Him Go" i seriji "Yellowstone". Ljetos je izašla treća sezona poštene, podcijenjene serije s vječnim kaubojem Costnerom, započete 2018., koju je kreirao Taylor Sheridan, poznati filmski scenarist ("Sve ili ništa") i redatelj ("Tragovi u snijegu"). Sheridan je "Yellowstone" zamislio i realizirao kao neovestern u duhu njegovih filmova i "Dallasa"/"Dinastije". Serija je bolja kao moderni kaubojac nego sapunica. Balon sapunice znade biti prenapuhan, ali zasad još nije pukao. "Yellowstone" jaše dalje do četvrte sezone.
MINDHUNTER
"Kuća od karata" je dobra, ali kad je "serijski" David Fincher u pitanju, prednost dajem(o) dvosezonskom "Mindhunteru" koji govori o formiranju kriminalne psihologije i profilacije unutar FBI-jeva Behavioral Science Unita. Ova serija je "fincherovskija" i nezasluženo je otkazana nakon druge sezone. Kakve sve nekvalitetne serije dobivaju nastavke, porazno je da "Mindhunter" ne ide dalje kao daleko najbolja televizija u svom fahu. Iza njega se mogu sakriti svi "CSI-ovi", "Criminal Mindsi"... To je ultimativna serija o "profilerima" i profiliranju serijskih ubojica, negativaca kojima je Fincher sklon još od "Sedmice" i "Zodijaka".
FLEABAG
Ono što je "Mindhunter" za serije o "profilerima" i "serial killerima", to je "Fleabag" za "sitcomove" – revolucija. Titularna protagonistica (Phoebe Waller-Bridge, otkriće) razbija takozvani četvrti zid, gleda ravno u kameru i obraća se gledateljima, komentira zbivanja "sa strane"... Ukratko, ponaša se poput ženskog Deadpoola iz romantične (tragi)komedije dovoljno uzemljene u stvarnosti. Sve to djeluje svježe unutar izlizanih humornih matrica "sitcoma" s nasnimljenim smijehom publike. Waller-Bridge je interaktivna prema gledatelji(ca)ma, ali ne daje im naputke kad se "moraju" smijati, već dopušta da se prepuste emocijama, od smijeha do suza i natrag.
RUSSIAN DOLL
"Rutina je nevjerojatna", cinična je protagonistica serije "Russian Doll" (Natasha Lyonne) koja zaglavi u "beskrajnom danu" poput Billa Murrayja u nenadmašnom istoimenom filmu i ponovno proživljava svoj 36. rođendan, umirući cijelo vrijeme opet i iznova na raznolike načine, budeći se sutradan i tako ukrug. "Ruska lutka" je idealna serija za "oproštaj" od 2020., godine obilježene nikad većom rutinom i jednim te istim "groundhog day" iskustvom u životima mnogih. To je i serija koja razbija TV rutinu subverzivno se rugajući serijskoj repetitivnosti. "Russian Doll" prihvaća repeticije u samoironične, ali i poučne svrhe za 2021. godinu. Život je kratak, iskoristi (beskrajan) dan.

COBRA KAI
Ako je "Karate Kid" bio "Rocky" za mlade, "Cobra Kai" želi biti "Creed". Serijski nastavak filmske trilogije, čija treća sezona ima premijeru 1. siječnja 2021., prati starije likove na suprotnim stranama "dojoa" koji postaju treneri novim pokoljenjima – Daniela LaRussa i Johnnyja Lawrencea. Zanimljivo da "Cobra Kai" propituje tko je bio "dobar", a tko "loš" u "Karate Kidu" i nekako je naklonjeniji "negativcu" Johnnyju koji je spoj Randyja "The Ram" Robinsona iz "Hrvača" i Ivana Drage iz "Creeda II". Serija je više Johnnyjeva priča, kune se u osamdesete kao "Stranger Things" i uspijeva probuditi nekadašnje "Karate Kid" emocije barem u nastupnoj, znatno boljoj sezoni, osobito u prvim dvjema "vremeplovnim" epizodama.
YELLOWSTONE
Nakon što je oskarovski "Dances With Wolves" proslavio 30. rođendan, lijepo je znati da Kevin Costner još uvijek "pleše s vukovima" u filmu "Let Him Go" i seriji "Yellowstone". Ljetos je izašla treća sezona poštene, podcijenjene serije s vječnim kaubojem Costnerom, započete 2018., koju je kreirao Taylor Sheridan, poznati filmski scenarist ("Sve ili ništa") i redatelj ("Tragovi u snijegu"). Sheridan je "Yellowstone" zamislio i realizirao kao neovestern u duhu njegovih filmova i "Dallasa"/"Dinastije". Serija je bolja kao moderni kaubojac nego sapunica. Balon sapunice znade biti prenapuhan, ali zasad još nije pukao. "Yellowstone" jaše dalje do četvrte sezone.
MINDHUNTER
"Kuća od karata" je dobra, ali kad je "serijski" David Fincher u pitanju, prednost dajem(o) dvosezonskom "Mindhunteru" koji govori o formiranju kriminalne psihologije i profilacije unutar FBI-jeva Behavioral Science Unita. Ova serija je "fincherovskija" i nezasluženo je otkazana nakon druge sezone. Kakve sve nekvalitetne serije dobivaju nastavke, porazno je da "Mindhunter" ne ide dalje kao daleko najbolja televizija u svom fahu. Iza njega se mogu sakriti svi "CSI-ovi", "Criminal Mindsi"... To je ultimativna serija o "profilerima" i profiliranju serijskih ubojica, negativaca kojima je Fincher sklon još od "Sedmice" i "Zodijaka".
FLEABAG
Ono što je "Mindhunter" za serije o "profilerima" i "serial killerima", to je "Fleabag" za "sitcomove" – revolucija. Titularna protagonistica (Phoebe Waller-Bridge, otkriće) razbija takozvani četvrti zid, gleda ravno u kameru i obraća se gledateljima, komentira zbivanja "sa strane"... Ukratko, ponaša se poput ženskog Deadpoola iz romantične (tragi)komedije dovoljno uzemljene u stvarnosti. Sve to djeluje svježe unutar izlizanih humornih matrica "sitcoma" s nasnimljenim smijehom publike. Waller-Bridge je interaktivna prema gledatelji(ca)ma, ali ne daje im naputke kad se "moraju" smijati, već dopušta da se prepuste emocijama, od smijeha do suza i natrag.
RUSSIAN DOLL
"Rutina je nevjerojatna", cinična je protagonistica serije "Russian Doll" (Natasha Lyonne) koja zaglavi u "beskrajnom danu" poput Billa Murrayja u nenadmašnom istoimenom filmu i ponovno proživljava svoj 36. rođendan, umirući cijelo vrijeme opet i iznova na raznolike načine, budeći se sutradan i tako ukrug. "Ruska lutka" je idealna serija za "oproštaj" od 2020., godine obilježene nikad većom rutinom i jednim te istim "groundhog day" iskustvom u životima mnogih. To je i serija koja razbija TV rutinu subverzivno se rugajući serijskoj repetitivnosti. "Russian Doll" prihvaća repeticije u samoironične, ali i poučne svrhe za 2021. godinu. Život je kratak, iskoristi (beskrajan) dan.
