Čudnu distribucijsku strategiju izveo je Netflix s nastavkom humorističnog “whodunit” krimića “Nož u leđa”, redatelja i scenarista Riana Johnsona. Činilo se da će Netflix osigurati dosad najveću i najdulju kinodistribuciju za “Nož u leđa: Glass Onion” (“Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”), punih 45 dana prije premijere filma na streaming servisu u odnosu na uobičajenih tjedan-dva-tri.

”Nož u leđa: Glass Onion” je pušten u kina koncem studenoga, da bi bio povučen nakon samo sedam dana, i to nakon što je zabilježio izvrsnu zaradu od 13 milijuna dolara igrajući samo u 700 dvorana diljem Amerike. Zarada, uzgred, ne treba čuditi: Johnsonov originalni “Knives Out” se 2019. prometnuo u veliki hit s više od 300 milijuna prometa u svjetskim kinima.

Nakon limitirane kinodistribucije nastavka, trebalo je proći gotovo mjesec dana da “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” osvane na Netflixu za božićni vikend.

Doista čudna strategija, ali “Nož u leđa 2” je na koncu barem mogao poslužiti kao tzv. kontra-program uobičajenim božićnim filmovima starijeg i novijeg datuma. I jest.

Kome je bilo do nečeg drukčijeg, ne samo kad su u pitanju božićni filmovi, gledao je “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”. Ovo je općenito kontra-program komercijalnim “mainstream” blockbusterima i spektaklima, kao što je to bio i prvi “Nož u leđa”, premda su i “whodunit” krimići ponovno postali trend nakon njegova uspjeha krajem 2019., najavljen novom verzijom “Ubojstva u Orient Expressu”.

Od 2019. naovamo, gledali smo i “Murder Mystery”, “Smrt na Nilu”, “Zločin u Hollywoodu” i “See How They Run”. Kako se u tu nisku uklapa “Nož u leđa: Glass Onion”? Bolji je od većine navedenih, otprilike u rangu “See How They Run” i na dobrom tragu svoga prethodnika, koji je, kako smo predvidjeli u recenziji, osvojio oskarovsku nominaciju za najbolji scenarij.

“Glass Onion” se drži klasične formule nastavka, što podrazumijeva da je veći, duži i u ovom slučaju s više preokreta. Radnja prvog filma bila je mahom stiješnjena na imanje bogataša, da bi se sada preselila na prostraniji, suncem okupani otok u Grčkoj. Original je trajao oko dva sata, nastavak traje 20 minuta dulje.

Konačno, Johnson ovaj put radi i preokret usred preokreta, nastavljajući na zabavan, lepršav i prilično pametan način modernizirati Agathu Christie i slične “whodunit” krimiće staroga kova, poput “Ubojstvo, napisala je” s Angelom Lansbury. U prvom “Nožu u leđa” likovi su gledali “Murder She Wrote”, a u nastavku gledamo “cameo” pojavljivanje same Lansbury, što je njezin posljednji nastup prije smrti.

Dosta poznatih faca ima “cameo” uloge (Stephen Sondheim, Ethan Hawke, Hugh Grant, Natasha Lyonne, Serena Williams), glumačka ekipa je opet zvučna (Janelle Monae, Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn), a glavnu riječ nanovo vodi Daniel Craig kao “najveći svjetski detektiv” Benoit Blanc.

Detektiv će se naći na otoku zajedno sa šarolikim likovima iz gornjih slojeva društva (bivša manekenka/modna dizajnerica, političarka...) koje je na “tulum s ubojstvom” pozvao njihov stari prijatelj, "muskovski" milijarder Miles Bron u tumačenju Nortona. “Natjecat ćete se u rješavanju slučaja mog umorstva”, najavio je Miles kad im je poslao pozivnicu i neobičnu “puzzle” kutiju koja sugerira misterij.

Miles nije pozvao Blanca, tako da je prvi misterij od koga je on dobio pozivnicu, iako se nije puno mislio hoće li doći željan nove “opasnosti, lova, izazova, sjajnog slučaja”. Craig je znatno opušteniji u ovoj ulozi u odnosu na Jamesa Bonda i stvorio je živopisnog i pronicljivog detektiva koji odmah naslućuje da će nešto poći naopako sa sedam ljudi na zabačenom otoku, od kojih svatko ima razlog da naudi Milesu, koji im je, k tome, usadio ideju o vlastitu umorstvu.

Blanc “nije Batman”, ali jest jedina osoba koja može riješiti misteriozni zločin kad do njega dođe, a doći će. To je prva od nekoliko zagonetki “Glass Oniona” u kojem Johnson negdje prije isteka prve polovice radi neočekivani flešbek na sve ključno što je prethodilo trenutačnim događajima i mijenja perspektivu.

Nešto tako nismo vidjeli u originalu koji je imao većinski bogatije (slojevitije) likove i bolji glumački ansambl, ali nastavak u tom smislu ne zaostaje puno i vjerno slijedi prethodni film u pogledu klasne politike i satire na račun bogatih. Izvorni “Knives Out” se u tom smislu efektno nadovezivao na “Parazita” i “Spremni ili ne”. “Glass Onion” se nadovezuje na “Trokut tuge” i “Meni”.

Drugi dio planirane trilogije

Ovo je drugi dio planirane trilogije koju je zamislio Johnson. Zasad nije poznati kad bi treći trebao ugledati svjetlo dana, ali to bi se moglo dogoditi 2025. bude li se Johnson držao jednakog razmaka između filmova.

Čudnu distribucijsku strategiju izveo je Netflix s nastavkom humorističnog “whodunit” krimića “Nož u leđa”, redatelja i scenarista Riana Johnsona. Činilo se da će Netflix osigurati dosad najveću i najdulju kinodistribuciju za “Nož u leđa: Glass Onion” (“Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”), punih 45 dana prije premijere filma na streaming servisu u odnosu na uobičajenih tjedan-dva-tri.

”Nož u leđa: Glass Onion” je pušten u kina koncem studenoga, da bi bio povučen nakon samo sedam dana, i to nakon što je zabilježio izvrsnu zaradu od 13 milijuna dolara igrajući samo u 700 dvorana diljem Amerike. Zarada, uzgred, ne treba čuditi: Johnsonov originalni “Knives Out” se 2019. prometnuo u veliki hit s više od 300 milijuna prometa u svjetskim kinima.

Nakon limitirane kinodistribucije nastavka, trebalo je proći gotovo mjesec dana da “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” osvane na Netflixu za božićni vikend.

Doista čudna strategija, ali “Nož u leđa 2” je na koncu barem mogao poslužiti kao tzv. kontra-program uobičajenim božićnim filmovima starijeg i novijeg datuma. I jest.

Kome je bilo do nečeg drukčijeg, ne samo kad su u pitanju božićni filmovi, gledao je “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”. Ovo je općenito kontra-program komercijalnim “mainstream” blockbusterima i spektaklima, kao što je to bio i prvi “Nož u leđa”, premda su i “whodunit” krimići ponovno postali trend nakon njegova uspjeha krajem 2019., najavljen novom verzijom “Ubojstva u Orient Expressu”.

Od 2019. naovamo, gledali smo i “Murder Mystery”, “Smrt na Nilu”, “Zločin u Hollywoodu” i “See How They Run”. Kako se u tu nisku uklapa “Nož u leđa: Glass Onion”? Bolji je od većine navedenih, otprilike u rangu “See How They Run” i na dobrom tragu svoga prethodnika, koji je, kako smo predvidjeli u recenziji, osvojio oskarovsku nominaciju za najbolji scenarij.

“Glass Onion” se drži klasične formule nastavka, što podrazumijeva da je veći, duži i u ovom slučaju s više preokreta. Radnja prvog filma bila je mahom stiješnjena na imanje bogataša, da bi se sada preselila na prostraniji, suncem okupani otok u Grčkoj. Original je trajao oko dva sata, nastavak traje 20 minuta dulje.

Konačno, Johnson ovaj put radi i preokret usred preokreta, nastavljajući na zabavan, lepršav i prilično pametan način modernizirati Agathu Christie i slične “whodunit” krimiće staroga kova, poput “Ubojstvo, napisala je” s Angelom Lansbury. U prvom “Nožu u leđa” likovi su gledali “Murder She Wrote”, a u nastavku gledamo “cameo” pojavljivanje same Lansbury, što je njezin posljednji nastup prije smrti.

Dosta poznatih faca ima “cameo” uloge (Stephen Sondheim, Ethan Hawke, Hugh Grant, Natasha Lyonne, Serena Williams), glumačka ekipa je opet zvučna (Janelle Monae, Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn), a glavnu riječ nanovo vodi Daniel Craig kao “najveći svjetski detektiv” Benoit Blanc.

Detektiv će se naći na otoku zajedno sa šarolikim likovima iz gornjih slojeva društva (bivša manekenka/modna dizajnerica, političarka...) koje je na “tulum s ubojstvom” pozvao njihov stari prijatelj, "muskovski" milijarder Miles Bron u tumačenju Nortona. “Natjecat ćete se u rješavanju slučaja mog umorstva”, najavio je Miles kad im je poslao pozivnicu i neobičnu “puzzle” kutiju koja sugerira misterij.

Miles nije pozvao Blanca, tako da je prvi misterij od koga je on dobio pozivnicu, iako se nije puno mislio hoće li doći željan nove “opasnosti, lova, izazova, sjajnog slučaja”. Craig je znatno opušteniji u ovoj ulozi u odnosu na Jamesa Bonda i stvorio je živopisnog i pronicljivog detektiva koji odmah naslućuje da će nešto poći naopako sa sedam ljudi na zabačenom otoku, od kojih svatko ima razlog da naudi Milesu, koji im je, k tome, usadio ideju o vlastitu umorstvu.

Blanc “nije Batman”, ali jest jedina osoba koja može riješiti misteriozni zločin kad do njega dođe, a doći će. To je prva od nekoliko zagonetki “Glass Oniona” u kojem Johnson negdje prije isteka prve polovice radi neočekivani flešbek na sve ključno što je prethodilo trenutačnim događajima i mijenja perspektivu.

Nešto tako nismo vidjeli u originalu koji je imao većinski bogatije (slojevitije) likove i bolji glumački ansambl, ali nastavak u tom smislu ne zaostaje puno i vjerno slijedi prethodni film u pogledu klasne politike i satire na račun bogatih. Izvorni “Knives Out” se u tom smislu efektno nadovezivao na “Parazita” i “Spremni ili ne”. “Glass Onion” se nadovezuje na “Trokut tuge” i “Meni”.

Drugi dio planirane trilogije

Ovo je drugi dio planirane trilogije koju je zamislio Johnson. Zasad nije poznati kad bi treći trebao ugledati svjetlo dana, ali to bi se moglo dogoditi 2025. bude li se Johnson držao jednakog razmaka između filmova.
