Kockarski dug od 65 tisuća dolara otplaćivao se na neobičan način u “Medenom mjesecu u Vegasu”, romantičnoj komediji o ljubavnom trokutu iz 1992. godine. Pare na pokeru u igri protiv starog profesionalnog kockara Kormana (James Caan) izgubio je privatni detektiv Jack (Nicolas Cage) koji se trebao vjenčati za Betsy (Sarah Jessica Parker). Da se poništi Jackov dug, Betsy treba provesti vikend s Kormanom kojega podsjeća na pokojnu ženu. Hoće li biti vjenčanja i za koga će se Betsy na kraju udati?

Godinu dana kasnije, ulog je višestruko povišen u provokativnoj romantično-erotskoj melodrami “Nemoralna ponuda” (“Indecent Proposal”, 1993.) redatelja Adriana Lynea, velikom hitu sa zaradom od preko 250 milijuna dolara u svjetskim kinima. U Las Vegas također dolazi jedan mlađi, ali već oženjeni par, i to Diana i David u tumačenju Demi Moore i Woodyja Harrelsona. Diana i David su zaljubljeni od srednje škole i ljubav su okrunili brakom.

Idiličan bračni život – on je arhitekt, ona radi u agenciji za promet nekretninama – urušava se kad nastupi recesija i oboje ostanu bez posla, a mogli bi ostati i bez kuće iz snova koju grade pored mora ako ne plate 50 tisuća dolara.

David posuđuje 5000 dolara od oca i odlazi s Dianom u Vegas ne bi li tu sumu uz malo sreće pretvorili u 50.000. Tamo osvajaju solidnih 25 tisuća, što je dovoljno da Lyne snimi prvu audiovizualno atraktivnu scenu filma, jednu od nezaobilaznih slika u oku “Nemoralne ponude”: Diana leži polunaga na hotelskom krevetu ušuškana dolarskim novčanicama i počne voditi ljubav s Davidom u ritmu Sadeina hita “No Ordinary Love”.

Međutim, kad David i Diana odluče uložiti 25.000 dolara i zaigrati na sve ili ništa, ostaju bez ičega. U tom trenutku na scenu stupa stari milijarder John Gage (Robert Redford) kojemu je Diana prethodno zapela za oko kad je krala slatkiše i gledala crnu pripijenu haljinu u butiku. “Mislim da bi trebala imati tu haljinu”, Gage je rekao Diani i ponudio da joj kupi taj seksi komad odjeće jer je “uživao gledajući je”, a zasigurno i zamišljajući njezine bujne obline u njoj.

“Ona je na prodaju, ja ne”, izričita je Diana koja će malo kasnije Gageu donijeti dobitak kad je on “posudi” od Davida i za njega osvojiti milijun dolara u drugoj “trade-mark” sceni filma “Indecent Proposal” – usne Demi Moore na crvenim kockicama i poljubac za sreću.

Tad je neki tip u kazinu (Billy Bob Thornton) u šali pitao Davida “Misliš li da će se ikad vratiti?” kad je vidio da je njegovu ženu posudio “bogati kučkin sin” te usput najavio skorašnja romantično-dramska previranja. Gage naizgled ima sve, za razliku od Davida, ali nema nešto što on ima - ženu poput Diane.

I eto titularne nemoralne ponude: Gage nudi Davidu milijun dolara za jednu noć s njegovom boljom polovicom da testira kliše kako “ne možeš kupiti ljubav”. Ponuda je “interaktivna” za gledatelje kojima Lyne daje materijala za razmišljanje dok ih postavlja pod kožu likova, potičući debatu, napose među (bračnim) parovima.

O Lyneovu filmu se naveliko pričalo sredinom devedesetih i moglo bi se opet pričati povodom njegove obljetnice. Ljubav je danas na još manjoj cijeni u odnosu na novac, a i nova recesija vreba iza ugla s nekim stvarnim Gageom koji može unijeti dodatan nemir u bračnu luku.

Nakon što se proslavio režijom “Flashdancea”, Lyne je često provocirao reakcije i izazivao rasprave sa stiliziranim voajerskim hitovima prepunim golišave erotike i seksa o reperkusijama opsesivne ljubavi i požude, podjednako intrigantnim i kompulzivnim za gledanje poput “Nemoralne ponude”.

Tko može zaboraviti “Devet i pol tjedana” i, posebno, “Kobnu privlačnost” koja je izazvala rasprave o preljubu, tj. bračnoj nevjeri i poljuljanom povjerenju među partnerima, što je Lyneu interesantna tema i ovdje je za nju pronašao novi kut gledanja. Vruće erotske scene kipe i u ovom filmu, čak i doslovno (“Gore ti hlače!”), premda je Lyne mudro preskočio ovjekovječiti večer između Gagea i Diane, ostavljajući sve na mašti gledatelja i sve opipljivo paranoičnijeg Davida.

Naravno, David i Diane su naposlijetku prihvatili nemoralnu ponudu (ona čak i više, samo radi njega) koja će poljuljati temelje njihovog sretnog braka jer bez toga ne bi bilo filma i njime raspirenih diskusija. “Indecent Proposal” postavlja pitanje: što biste napravili na njihovom mjestu, biste li pristali i, ako da, kako bi mogli živjeti s tim? Isprve David i Diana pošalju Gagea kvragu, ali pitanje se uvlači u njihovu postelju, sa njim i premišljanje jer jedna noć “dođe i ode”, a “novac ostaje”.

“Samo razmišljam o tome. Napravila bi to za tebe. To je samo moje tijelo, ne um i srce”, veli Diana. Možda ne bi razmišljala o tome da je neki drugi glumac našao u ulozi Gagea umjesto Redforda, npr. njegov vršnjak Dennis Hopper ili Gene Hackman, netko tko nije poznat po ulogama romantika i zavodnika. Redford je u svojoj 57. godini zgodniji od gotovo dvostruko mlađeg Harrelsona i s njim je lakše zgriješiti jednu noć, što film čini manje uvjerljivim.

Opet, neki drugi glumac bi pretvorio Gagea u negativca, a Redford ga pretvara u još jednog aktera romantične drame ozvučene lijepom, emotivno slojevitom glazbom Johna Barryja (“Moja Afrika”), nekoga tko će Diani ispričati tužnu priču o nerealiziranoj ljubavi na prvi pogled iz mladosti i osvojiti je nakon što je razorio njezin brak, ali i – oprez: “spoiler” – dopustiti joj da se vrati Davidu. “Nemoralna ponuda” je morala ispoštovati prikladan, moralan kraj.

Još jedan megahit Demi Moore

Za tračak crnog (i mizoginog) humora zaslužan je odvjetnik u tumačenju Olivera Platta koji je rekao Davidu da je za ženu poput Diane mogao dobiti i ponudu od dva milijuna dolara, a da njegova djevojka nije vrijedna 500 tisuća. Ovaj film je potvrdio Demi Moore kao jednu od najvećih ženskih zvijezda devedesetih koju je, zapaženu u osamdesetima u "Vatri svetog Elma", u tom smjeru lansirao i megahit "Duh". Harrelson je bio u usponu i godinu kasnije je snimio "Rođene ubojice".

Kockarski dug od 65 tisuća dolara otplaćivao se na neobičan način u “Medenom mjesecu u Vegasu”, romantičnoj komediji o ljubavnom trokutu iz 1992. godine. Pare na pokeru u igri protiv starog profesionalnog kockara Kormana (James Caan) izgubio je privatni detektiv Jack (Nicolas Cage) koji se trebao vjenčati za Betsy (Sarah Jessica Parker). Da se poništi Jackov dug, Betsy treba provesti vikend s Kormanom kojega podsjeća na pokojnu ženu. Hoće li biti vjenčanja i za koga će se Betsy na kraju udati?

Godinu dana kasnije, ulog je višestruko povišen u provokativnoj romantično-erotskoj melodrami “Nemoralna ponuda” (“Indecent Proposal”, 1993.) redatelja Adriana Lynea, velikom hitu sa zaradom od preko 250 milijuna dolara u svjetskim kinima. U Las Vegas također dolazi jedan mlađi, ali već oženjeni par, i to Diana i David u tumačenju Demi Moore i Woodyja Harrelsona. Diana i David su zaljubljeni od srednje škole i ljubav su okrunili brakom.

Idiličan bračni život – on je arhitekt, ona radi u agenciji za promet nekretninama – urušava se kad nastupi recesija i oboje ostanu bez posla, a mogli bi ostati i bez kuće iz snova koju grade pored mora ako ne plate 50 tisuća dolara.

David posuđuje 5000 dolara od oca i odlazi s Dianom u Vegas ne bi li tu sumu uz malo sreće pretvorili u 50.000. Tamo osvajaju solidnih 25 tisuća, što je dovoljno da Lyne snimi prvu audiovizualno atraktivnu scenu filma, jednu od nezaobilaznih slika u oku “Nemoralne ponude”: Diana leži polunaga na hotelskom krevetu ušuškana dolarskim novčanicama i počne voditi ljubav s Davidom u ritmu Sadeina hita “No Ordinary Love”.

Međutim, kad David i Diana odluče uložiti 25.000 dolara i zaigrati na sve ili ništa, ostaju bez ičega. U tom trenutku na scenu stupa stari milijarder John Gage (Robert Redford) kojemu je Diana prethodno zapela za oko kad je krala slatkiše i gledala crnu pripijenu haljinu u butiku. “Mislim da bi trebala imati tu haljinu”, Gage je rekao Diani i ponudio da joj kupi taj seksi komad odjeće jer je “uživao gledajući je”, a zasigurno i zamišljajući njezine bujne obline u njoj.

“Ona je na prodaju, ja ne”, izričita je Diana koja će malo kasnije Gageu donijeti dobitak kad je on “posudi” od Davida i za njega osvojiti milijun dolara u drugoj “trade-mark” sceni filma “Indecent Proposal” – usne Demi Moore na crvenim kockicama i poljubac za sreću.

Tad je neki tip u kazinu (Billy Bob Thornton) u šali pitao Davida “Misliš li da će se ikad vratiti?” kad je vidio da je njegovu ženu posudio “bogati kučkin sin” te usput najavio skorašnja romantično-dramska previranja. Gage naizgled ima sve, za razliku od Davida, ali nema nešto što on ima - ženu poput Diane.

I eto titularne nemoralne ponude: Gage nudi Davidu milijun dolara za jednu noć s njegovom boljom polovicom da testira kliše kako “ne možeš kupiti ljubav”. Ponuda je “interaktivna” za gledatelje kojima Lyne daje materijala za razmišljanje dok ih postavlja pod kožu likova, potičući debatu, napose među (bračnim) parovima.

O Lyneovu filmu se naveliko pričalo sredinom devedesetih i moglo bi se opet pričati povodom njegove obljetnice. Ljubav je danas na još manjoj cijeni u odnosu na novac, a i nova recesija vreba iza ugla s nekim stvarnim Gageom koji može unijeti dodatan nemir u bračnu luku.

Nakon što se proslavio režijom “Flashdancea”, Lyne je često provocirao reakcije i izazivao rasprave sa stiliziranim voajerskim hitovima prepunim golišave erotike i seksa o reperkusijama opsesivne ljubavi i požude, podjednako intrigantnim i kompulzivnim za gledanje poput “Nemoralne ponude”.

Tko može zaboraviti “Devet i pol tjedana” i, posebno, “Kobnu privlačnost” koja je izazvala rasprave o preljubu, tj. bračnoj nevjeri i poljuljanom povjerenju među partnerima, što je Lyneu interesantna tema i ovdje je za nju pronašao novi kut gledanja. Vruće erotske scene kipe i u ovom filmu, čak i doslovno (“Gore ti hlače!”), premda je Lyne mudro preskočio ovjekovječiti večer između Gagea i Diane, ostavljajući sve na mašti gledatelja i sve opipljivo paranoičnijeg Davida.

Naravno, David i Diane su naposlijetku prihvatili nemoralnu ponudu (ona čak i više, samo radi njega) koja će poljuljati temelje njihovog sretnog braka jer bez toga ne bi bilo filma i njime raspirenih diskusija. “Indecent Proposal” postavlja pitanje: što biste napravili na njihovom mjestu, biste li pristali i, ako da, kako bi mogli živjeti s tim? Isprve David i Diana pošalju Gagea kvragu, ali pitanje se uvlači u njihovu postelju, sa njim i premišljanje jer jedna noć “dođe i ode”, a “novac ostaje”.

“Samo razmišljam o tome. Napravila bi to za tebe. To je samo moje tijelo, ne um i srce”, veli Diana. Možda ne bi razmišljala o tome da je neki drugi glumac našao u ulozi Gagea umjesto Redforda, npr. njegov vršnjak Dennis Hopper ili Gene Hackman, netko tko nije poznat po ulogama romantika i zavodnika. Redford je u svojoj 57. godini zgodniji od gotovo dvostruko mlađeg Harrelsona i s njim je lakše zgriješiti jednu noć, što film čini manje uvjerljivim.

Opet, neki drugi glumac bi pretvorio Gagea u negativca, a Redford ga pretvara u još jednog aktera romantične drame ozvučene lijepom, emotivno slojevitom glazbom Johna Barryja (“Moja Afrika”), nekoga tko će Diani ispričati tužnu priču o nerealiziranoj ljubavi na prvi pogled iz mladosti i osvojiti je nakon što je razorio njezin brak, ali i – oprez: “spoiler” – dopustiti joj da se vrati Davidu. “Nemoralna ponuda” je morala ispoštovati prikladan, moralan kraj.

Još jedan megahit Demi Moore

Za tračak crnog (i mizoginog) humora zaslužan je odvjetnik u tumačenju Olivera Platta koji je rekao Davidu da je za ženu poput Diane mogao dobiti i ponudu od dva milijuna dolara, a da njegova djevojka nije vrijedna 500 tisuća. Ovaj film je potvrdio Demi Moore kao jednu od najvećih ženskih zvijezda devedesetih koju je, zapaženu u osamdesetima u "Vatri svetog Elma", u tom smjeru lansirao i megahit "Duh". Harrelson je bio u usponu i godinu kasnije je snimio "Rođene ubojice".

Kockarski dug od 65 tisuća dolara otplaćivao se na neobičan način u “Medenom mjesecu u Vegasu”, romantičnoj komediji o ljubavnom trokutu iz 1992. godine. Pare na pokeru u igri protiv starog profesionalnog kockara Kormana (James Caan) izgubio je privatni detektiv Jack (Nicolas Cage) koji se trebao vjenčati za Betsy (Sarah Jessica Parker).
