"Sad ćeš vidjeti što ja vidim." – "Ne diši 2" (2021.)

Nekim čudom originalni "Don't Breathe" nije dobio distribuciju u hrvatskim kinima, unatoč tome što je postao hit krajem ljeta 2016. sa zaradom od 157 milijuna dolara u svijetu na budžet od nepunih deset. Izvrsni horor triler režisera i koscenarista Fedea Alvareza (nova "Zla smrt") kod nas se, preveden kao "Smrt u tami" umjesto "Ne diši", prikazao na velikom ekranu samo jednom, u splitskom kinu "Karaman" kao udarni film u maratonu za Noć vještica, i to je bilo to.

Pet godina kasnije, slična sudbina nije snašla "Don't Breathe 2" koji je Alvarez scenaristički potpisao s koscenaristom prethodnika Rodom Sayaguesom i prepustio mu (debitantsku) režiju. Original je u međuvremenu stekao kultni status kod ljubitelja horora/trilera i nastavak je jednostavno morao u kina, posebice što bilježi pristojan uspjeh u "novom (ne)normalnom" i trenutno je na 46 milijuna dolara u svjetskoj kinodistribuciji na 15-milijunski proračun.

Sayagues i Alvarez kao da su znali da neki filmofili nisu u kinima mogli doživjeti prvi film pa su ponovili njegovu "home invasion" doživljajnost u drugome, no srećom nisu napravili puku kopiju i slijepo slijedili sve njegove korake. "Ne diši 2" produbljuje mitologiju Normana "Blind Man" Nordstroma (još jednom dojmljivi Stephen Lang; "Avatar"), starog i slijepog veterana Zaljevskog rata na kojeg će se opet namjeriti provalnici misleći da je laka meta, mada ne znaju s kim se zezaju.

Norman je ruzinavi, ali neistrošeni stroj za ubijanje, možda slijep, no njegova su druga osjetila povišena tako da se snalazi u mrklom mraku bolje od običnog čovjeka, što su iskusili mladi provalnici u izvornom "Don't Breathe" koji je napravio inverziju hororsko-trilerskog podžanra provale u kuću.

"Home invasion" filmovi, kao "Psi od slame", "Funny Games" ili "Stranci", obično su fokusirani na teroriziranje ukućana od strane provalnika, dok je "Ne diši" obrnuo podžanrovsku tipologiju kad su provalnici od lovaca postali lovina domaćina koji skriva još neke tajne.

Predvođeni Raylanom (Brendan Sexton III), provalnici su znatno zločestiji u nastavku i imaju na umu više od obične provale i otimanja Normanove imovine. Oni žele oteti djevojčicu Phoenix (Madelyn Grace) koju je Norman pronašao na ulici nedaleko njezine spaljene kuće i odgojio kao vlastitu kćer, a njihova kasnije otkrivena motivacija je krajnje pomaknuta.

Provala je vrhunac filma, ujedno i jedna od najbolje režiranih i kamerno koreografiranih scena godine, uzorni primjer stvaranja ozračja istančane tenzije. Kad se Phoenix počne sakrivati od provalnika, ispod kreveta, ormara..., kamera je bez "reza" (i glazbe) prati u stopu.

Gledatelj ne diše u zaglušujućoj tišini i sakriva se zajedno s njom, osluškujući prirodne zvukove, korake provalnika, škripu podova itd. Napetost je dodirljiva i tu se "Dont' Breathe 2" najviše približava klaustrofobičnim tenzijama superiornijeg prijašnjeg filma, kao i u idućoj sceni s Phoenix šćućurenoj u metalnoj kutiji gdje ne samo da nadire voda, već i kabel pod naponom visi iznad nje.

Međutim, nakon što Phoenix bude oteta, "Ne diši 2" mijenja žanrovski registar i postaje akcijski triler a la "96 sati", samo brutalniji za dobnu oznaku "18+", s Normanom kao ostarjelim i žilavim spojem Rutgera Hauera iz "Slijepe srdžbe" i Ramba iz "Do zadnje kapi krvi" koji će oštriti mačetu, rabiti čekić i alate za vrt u borbi protiv otmičara, prebačenoj iz njegove kuće u njihovu.

"Don't Breathe 2" se pretvara u akcijski film hororske estetike sličniji "Veteranima u akciji" (također s Langom u glavnoj ulozi) nego originalu, s nasiljem ispred tenzije. Žanrovski i stilski zaokret je dobrodošao, premda s vremenom gotovo da postaje izlika za natapanje hladnog oružja krvlju kad Norman ponovno probudi kasapina u sebi, sređujući otmičare i tako da im pritišće oči u duplje kako bi "vidjeli što on vidi".

Pa opet, "Ne diši 2" još više magli granicu između pozitiv(a)ca i negativ(a)ca pretvarajući Normana od nehumanog zlikovca antagonističkih tendencija do čovječnog antijunaka, gotovo junaka, brižnu očinsku figuru u potrazi za iskupljenjem zbog grijeha prošlosti. Dvosmislenost nastavka je moralno provokativna za jedan studijski film: Sayagues i Alvarez nagone gledatelje da navijaju za Normana, iako negdje duboko u sebi znaju da to ne bi smjeli.

"Sad ćeš vidjeti što ja vidim." – "Ne diši 2" (2021.)

Nekim čudom originalni "Don't Breathe" nije dobio distribuciju u hrvatskim kinima, unatoč tome što je postao hit krajem ljeta 2016. sa zaradom od 157 milijuna dolara u svijetu na budžet od nepunih deset. Izvrsni horor triler režisera i koscenarista Fedea Alvareza (nova "Zla smrt") kod nas se, preveden kao "Smrt u tami" umjesto "Ne diši", prikazao na velikom ekranu samo jednom, u splitskom kinu "Karaman" kao udarni film u maratonu za Noć vještica, i to je bilo to.

Pet godina kasnije, slična sudbina nije snašla "Don't Breathe 2" koji je Alvarez scenaristički potpisao s koscenaristom prethodnika Rodom Sayaguesom i prepustio mu (debitantsku) režiju. Original je u međuvremenu stekao kultni status kod ljubitelja horora/trilera i nastavak je jednostavno morao u kina, posebice što bilježi pristojan uspjeh u "novom (ne)normalnom" i trenutno je na 46 milijuna dolara u svjetskoj kinodistribuciji na 15-milijunski proračun.

Sayagues i Alvarez kao da su znali da neki filmofili nisu u kinima mogli doživjeti prvi film pa su ponovili njegovu "home invasion" doživljajnost u drugome, no srećom nisu napravili puku kopiju i slijepo slijedili sve njegove korake. "Ne diši 2" produbljuje mitologiju Normana "Blind Man" Nordstroma (još jednom dojmljivi Stephen Lang; "Avatar"), starog i slijepog veterana Zaljevskog rata na kojeg će se opet namjeriti provalnici misleći da je laka meta, mada ne znaju s kim se zezaju.

Norman je ruzinavi, ali neistrošeni stroj za ubijanje, možda slijep, no njegova su druga osjetila povišena tako da se snalazi u mrklom mraku bolje od običnog čovjeka, što su iskusili mladi provalnici u izvornom "Don't Breathe" koji je napravio inverziju hororsko-trilerskog podžanra provale u kuću.

"Home invasion" filmovi, kao "Psi od slame", "Funny Games" ili "Stranci", obično su fokusirani na teroriziranje ukućana od strane provalnika, dok je "Ne diši" obrnuo podžanrovsku tipologiju kad su provalnici od lovaca postali lovina domaćina koji skriva još neke tajne.

Predvođeni Raylanom (Brendan Sexton III), provalnici su znatno zločestiji u nastavku i imaju na umu više od obične provale i otimanja Normanove imovine. Oni žele oteti djevojčicu Phoenix (Madelyn Grace) koju je Norman pronašao na ulici nedaleko njezine spaljene kuće i odgojio kao vlastitu kćer, a njihova kasnije otkrivena motivacija je krajnje pomaknuta.

Provala je vrhunac filma, ujedno i jedna od najbolje režiranih i kamerno koreografiranih scena godine, uzorni primjer stvaranja ozračja istančane tenzije. Kad se Phoenix počne sakrivati od provalnika, ispod kreveta, ormara..., kamera je bez "reza" (i glazbe) prati u stopu.

Gledatelj ne diše u zaglušujućoj tišini i sakriva se zajedno s njom, osluškujući prirodne zvukove, korake provalnika, škripu podova itd. Napetost je dodirljiva i tu se "Dont' Breathe 2" najviše približava klaustrofobičnim tenzijama superiornijeg prijašnjeg filma, kao i u idućoj sceni s Phoenix šćućurenoj u metalnoj kutiji gdje ne samo da nadire voda, već i kabel pod naponom visi iznad nje.

Međutim, nakon što Phoenix bude oteta, "Ne diši 2" mijenja žanrovski registar i postaje akcijski triler a la "96 sati", samo brutalniji za dobnu oznaku "18+", s Normanom kao ostarjelim i žilavim spojem Rutgera Hauera iz "Slijepe srdžbe" i Ramba iz "Do zadnje kapi krvi" koji će oštriti mačetu, rabiti čekić i alate za vrt u borbi protiv otmičara, prebačenoj iz njegove kuće u njihovu.

"Don't Breathe 2" se pretvara u akcijski film hororske estetike sličniji "Veteranima u akciji" (također s Langom u glavnoj ulozi) nego originalu, s nasiljem ispred tenzije. Žanrovski i stilski zaokret je dobrodošao, premda s vremenom gotovo da postaje izlika za natapanje hladnog oružja krvlju kad Norman ponovno probudi kasapina u sebi, sređujući otmičare i tako da im pritišće oči u duplje kako bi "vidjeli što on vidi".

Pa opet, "Ne diši 2" još više magli granicu između pozitiv(a)ca i negativ(a)ca pretvarajući Normana od nehumanog zlikovca antagonističkih tendencija do čovječnog antijunaka, gotovo junaka, brižnu očinsku figuru u potrazi za iskupljenjem zbog grijeha prošlosti. Dvosmislenost nastavka je moralno provokativna za jedan studijski film: Sayagues i Alvarez nagone gledatelje da navijaju za Normana, iako negdje duboko u sebi znaju da to ne bi smjeli.
