Četvrti val nije završio, a na njega se nastavlja peti – opisuje u najkraćim crtama dubrovačka infektologinja Ljiljana Betica Radić aktualno stanje s pandemijom koronavirusa koja se u Dubrovačko-neretvanskoj županiji razbuktala nakon blagdana. Danas, nakon neradnog dana, imali smo 176 slučajeva i jednu umrlu ženu, a ranije ovog tjedna broj dnevno novozaraženih dvaput je prešao 600.

Zbog brzine širenja i brojnosti populacije koju zahvaća, omikron je postao neprijatelj broj jedan, no naša sugovornica kaže da nije jedini:
- Pitanje je koliko još imamo delta varijante u 'optjecaju'. Iako se posljednjih dana najviše govori o omikronu, delta je još itekako prisutna. Koliko je zastupljena ne možemo reći, nemamo izravno nalaze svih uzoraka, jer se oni šalju pojedinačno, no delta je tu i nigdje nije otišla – ističe dr. Betica Radić. Primjećuje kako Hrvatska nipošto nije jedina država gdje je eskalirala epidemija, no naš je problem nedovoljna procijepljenost stanovništva:
- Visoko zarazna varijanta omikrona svuda po Europi i svijetu se brzo širi unatoč protupandemijskim mjerama, što vidimo i u zemljama koje ih stalno postrožuju. Nama je ipak najvažnije da nemamo povećanje broja teško oboljelih i umrlih hospitaliziranih pacijenata – kaže naša sugovornica. Trenutačni soj uspoređuje s 'bolešću ambulante', po pojavi simptoma prevladava kućno liječenje, no mjesta za opuštanje nema. Iz Francuske stižu uznemirujuće vijesti o tzv. kamerunskoj varijanti koja s 46 mutacija virusa nadmašuje aktualni omikron:

- Doslovce svaki dan pojavljuju se nove i nove mutacije koje pokazuju evolucijsko i adaptivno svojstvo virusa. One s boljim izgledima za prilagodbu imaju veće izglede da dulje potraju. No, mi ne pratimo sve mutacije, već se ravnamo prema Svjetskoj zdravstvenoj organizaciji (WHO) koja nam javlja da je taj i taj soj od svjetskog značenja, kao što je to bilo s omikronom – otkriva dubrovačka infektologinja koja upozorava na globalni dogovor da se novim varijantama ne daju imena regija ili država gdje su prvi put otkrivene:
- Kad se počeo spominjati južnoafrički soj, u Južnoafričkoj Republici potpuno je propao turizam. Zato je odlučeno da više nema stigmatiziranja, ni područja ni ljudi kod imenovanja novih varijanti koronavirusa– pojasnila je dr. Ljiljana Betica Radić, čiju je tvrdnju o 'valu na valu' potvrdio i ministar zdravstva Vili Beroš.
– Peti val je već tu, spojio se s četvrtim. Omikron neće mimoići nikoga od nas, cijepite se! – apelirao je ministar.

- Val na valu. Četvrti val nije završio, a na njega se nastavlja peti – opisuje u najkraćim crtama dubrovačka infektologinja Ljiljana Betica Radić aktualno stanje s pandemijom koronavirusa koja se u Dubrovačko-neretvanskoj županiji razbuktala nakon blagdana. Danas, nakon neradnog dana, imali smo 176 slučajeva i jednu umrlu ženu, a ranije ovog tjedna broj dnevno novozaraženih dvaput je prešao 600.

Zbog brzine širenja i brojnosti populacije koju zahvaća, omikron je postao neprijatelj broj jedan, no naša sugovornica kaže da nije jedini:
- Pitanje je koliko još imamo delta varijante u 'optjecaju'. Iako se posljednjih dana najviše govori o omikronu, delta je još itekako prisutna. Koliko je zastupljena ne možemo reći, nemamo izravno nalaze svih uzoraka, jer se oni šalju pojedinačno, no delta je tu i nigdje nije otišla – ističe dr. Betica Radić. Primjećuje kako Hrvatska nipošto nije jedina država gdje je eskalirala epidemija, no naš je problem nedovoljna procijepljenost stanovništva:
- Visoko zarazna varijanta omikrona svuda po Europi i svijetu se brzo širi unatoč protupandemijskim mjerama, što vidimo i u zemljama koje ih stalno postrožuju. Nama je ipak najvažnije da nemamo povećanje broja teško oboljelih i umrlih hospitaliziranih pacijenata – kaže naša sugovornica. Trenutačni soj uspoređuje s 'bolešću ambulante', po pojavi simptoma prevladava kućno liječenje, no mjesta za opuštanje nema. Iz Francuske stižu uznemirujuće vijesti o tzv. kamerunskoj varijanti koja s 46 mutacija virusa nadmašuje aktualni omikron:

- Doslovce svaki dan pojavljuju se nove i nove mutacije koje pokazuju evolucijsko i adaptivno svojstvo virusa. One s boljim izgledima za prilagodbu imaju veće izglede da dulje potraju. No, mi ne pratimo sve mutacije, već se ravnamo prema Svjetskoj zdravstvenoj organizaciji (WHO) koja nam javlja da je taj i taj soj od svjetskog značenja, kao što je to bilo s omikronom – otkriva dubrovačka infektologinja koja upozorava na globalni dogovor da se novim varijantama ne daju imena regija ili država gdje su prvi put otkrivene:
- Kad se počeo spominjati južnoafrički soj, u Južnoafričkoj Republici potpuno je propao turizam. Zato je odlučeno da više nema stigmatiziranja, ni područja ni ljudi kod imenovanja novih varijanti koronavirusa– pojasnila je dr. Ljiljana Betica Radić, čiju je tvrdnju o 'valu na valu' potvrdio i ministar zdravstva Vili Beroš.
– Peti val je već tu, spojio se s četvrtim. Omikron neće mimoići nikoga od nas, cijepite se! – apelirao je ministar.
