‘Svake godine sve ljepša i veća‘, objavila je Paula Klepo na svom fb profilu.

Na prvu nije bilo za prepoznati da je riječ o božićnoj zvijezdi, biljci koja se tradicionalno kupuje pred Božić, a većini uvene do iza Nove godine.

Vjerojatno jedna od najviših u Dubrovniku, a možda i Hrvatskoj, božićna zvijezda obitelji Klepo u ulici Između vrta visoka je gotovo četiri metra i već više od 30 godina ukrašava njihov đardin. To je uistinu neobično jer omiljeni blagdanski ukras u mnogim domovima, obično zasađen u grasti, vrlo je zahtjevan cvijet. Zato nije čudo da većinom svake godine na stol u studenom ili prosincu dolazi novi.  

Ne smije biti blizu grijalica niti na propuhu, ne voli seljenje i jako voli vlagu. Dok joj je lišće zeleno, a to je većinu godine, manje je osjetljiva nego u doba kad joj listovi pocrvene, a to je oko Božića, po kojem je i dobila ime.

Drevna astečka legenda kaže da je, kad je jedna od njihovih božica umirala od tuge za neostvarenom ljubavi, iz njezina srca palo nekoliko kapi krvi na lišće ove biljke, zbog koje je ono pocrvenilo.

Samo je buknula

Ono što je još nevjerojatno kod ove uglavnom sobne biljke jest da je božićna zvijezda obitelji Klepo zasađena u zemlju u đardinu, gdje je šibaju vjetrovi, zalijevaju kiše i prži sunce, ali njoj to već tri desetljeća ne smeta - dapače, čini je sve većom i ljepšom.

- Božićnu zvijezdu zasadila je moja svekrva Marela još prije rata, krajem osamdesetih - kaže Paula Klepo o porijeklu nesvakidašnjeg diva među božićnim zvijezdama. - Netko je njoj dao tu sadnicu. Bila je to žena koja je jako voljela cvijeće i znala je s njim. Sadila je razno cvijeće i sve joj se primalo, imala je ‘milijun‘ ruža svih vrsta i svega - prisjeća se Paula svoje svekrve, majke njezina supruga Dragana.

- Ova je božićna zvijezda samo buknula i raste tako 30 godina. Vjerojatno joj ovo tlo ovdje odgovara. Ovdje sa strane ima jedan zid i tu je zaštićena zimi i ide gore u nebesa. Zalijevamo je samo ljeti kad su jake vrućine i posječemo je u drugom mjesecu. Nema oko nje posla - ističe.

- Nisam nikad čula da netko ima ovako veliku božićnu zvijezdu u đardinu. Stavljala sam slike na facebook i nitko se nije nadovezao s takvom informacijom. Davala sam sadnice prijateljicama, primila se samo jednoj. Kad smo Dragan i ja posadili drugo u grastu, nama se odmah primilo. Što je to, ja nemam pojma - s osmijehom zaključuje Paula.

‘Svake godine sve ljepša i veća‘, objavila je Paula Klepo na svom fb profilu.

Na prvu nije bilo za prepoznati da je riječ o božićnoj zvijezdi, biljci koja se tradicionalno kupuje pred Božić, a većini uvene do iza Nove godine.

Vjerojatno jedna od najviših u Dubrovniku, a možda i Hrvatskoj, božićna zvijezda obitelji Klepo u ulici Između vrta visoka je gotovo četiri metra i već više od 30 godina ukrašava njihov đardin. To je uistinu neobično jer omiljeni blagdanski ukras u mnogim domovima, obično zasađen u grasti, vrlo je zahtjevan cvijet. Zato nije čudo da većinom svake godine na stol u studenom ili prosincu dolazi novi.  

Ne smije biti blizu grijalica niti na propuhu, ne voli seljenje i jako voli vlagu. Dok joj je lišće zeleno, a to je većinu godine, manje je osjetljiva nego u doba kad joj listovi pocrvene, a to je oko Božića, po kojem je i dobila ime.

Drevna astečka legenda kaže da je, kad je jedna od njihovih božica umirala od tuge za neostvarenom ljubavi, iz njezina srca palo nekoliko kapi krvi na lišće ove biljke, zbog koje je ono pocrvenilo.

Samo je buknula

Ono što je još nevjerojatno kod ove uglavnom sobne biljke jest da je božićna zvijezda obitelji Klepo zasađena u zemlju u đardinu, gdje je šibaju vjetrovi, zalijevaju kiše i prži sunce, ali njoj to već tri desetljeća ne smeta - dapače, čini je sve većom i ljepšom.

- Božićnu zvijezdu zasadila je moja svekrva Marela još prije rata, krajem osamdesetih - kaže Paula Klepo o porijeklu nesvakidašnjeg diva među božićnim zvijezdama. - Netko je njoj dao tu sadnicu. Bila je to žena koja je jako voljela cvijeće i znala je s njim. Sadila je razno cvijeće i sve joj se primalo, imala je ‘milijun‘ ruža svih vrsta i svega - prisjeća se Paula svoje svekrve, majke njezina supruga Dragana.

- Ova je božićna zvijezda samo buknula i raste tako 30 godina. Vjerojatno joj ovo tlo ovdje odgovara. Ovdje sa strane ima jedan zid i tu je zaštićena zimi i ide gore u nebesa. Zalijevamo je samo ljeti kad su jake vrućine i posječemo je u drugom mjesecu. Nema oko nje posla - ističe.

- Nisam nikad čula da netko ima ovako veliku božićnu zvijezdu u đardinu. Stavljala sam slike na facebook i nitko se nije nadovezao s takvom informacijom. Davala sam sadnice prijateljicama, primila se samo jednoj. Kad smo Dragan i ja posadili drugo u grastu, nama se odmah primilo. Što je to, ja nemam pojma - s osmijehom zaključuje Paula.
