“Društvene mreže najveći su mogući zlatni rudnik za oglašivače,” komentirao je moj kolega koji radi kao online analitičar podataka. “Ljudi spremno pružaju uvid u svoje živote, svoje planove, kupovinu, mjesta na koja putuju i još mnogo toga. Podaci su danas najvrijednija roba,” dodao je. Informacija o tome da online “čudovišta” prikupljaju podatke i zatim ih prodaju su zastrašujuće.

Pokušajte napustiti Facebook pa ćete vidjeti koliko su im važni podaci o vama i vašim navikama. Međutim, Facebook ovdje nije jedini lešinar. Obratite pažnju na slučaj Tik Tok koji je trenutno aktualan u SADu. Naši su životi otvorene knjige koje bi mnoge organizacije vrlo rado “pročitale”. Nisam baš aktivan član na društvenim mrežama, koristim ih gotovo pa isključivo za posao i to je to. Teško da ćete me vidjeti da lajkam ili komentiram objave po društvenim mrežama ili se nedobog upuštam u “ratove” zvane komentiranje.

Ako izdvojimo neobične rođendanske čestitke koje znam uputiti članovima svoje engleske obitelji, onda za moje društvene mreže možemo reći da su crna rupa. Ali, svakome svoje veselje. Sjećate se od prije nekoliko godina, točnije 2018., velike strke i frke oko GDPRa (The General Data Protection Regulation) i ideje o zaštiti podataka na internetu? Čini se da je ta ideja propala tijekom pandemije tako da nisu samo društvene mreže profitirale od dostupnih podataka, tu su i kompanije koje nemaju baš časne namjere.

Poruku jedne kompanije nedavno sam dobio u inbox. Nije to sad neko čudo, svakodnevno primam veliku količinu sličnih mailova koje stižu od tvrtki koje se bave analizom podataka i na taj način ostvaruju promete za treće strane. Bilo bi podcijenjeno reći da su oni opasnost za privatnost.

A evo što sam ja to dobio na mail: “Dobar dan! Nadam se da ovaj mail stiže u prave ruke. Jeste li zainteresirani za popis gostiju na “Bar & Restaurant Expo” koji će se održati od 27 – 29.3.2023. u Las Vegas Convention Centru, Las Vegas, USA. Broj posjetitelja je 20.340, uključujući i podatke o mail adresama! Naknadno ćemo poslati ostale detalje, troškove i uzorak popisa. Srdačan pozdrav, Casey Cruz – Analitičar podataka.” Da, dobro ste pročitali. Tvrtka koja mi pokušava prodati sve detalje, e mail adrese svih sudionika navedenog kongresa. Kao što sam napisao, ovo nije prvi put da sam dobio mail sličnog sadržaja.

Pokušao sam ih kontaktirati kako bih provjerio legalnost ovog postupka, međutim, koliko god sam se trudio, to mi nije uspjelo. Kadgod idete na neko događanje pitaju vas da ispunite kratki formular s informacijama: ime, adresa, e-mail adresa, kontakt i tako dalje. I očigledno je da se ti podaci prodaju. Vjerojatno se pitate, zašto bi ih netko kupio? Podaci su sve. Tezoro. Ako posjedujete e-mail listu za određeno događanje, u samom start imate malo blago s kojim možete prodavati vlastiti proizvod. A te liste nisu nimalo jeftine. Jedan organizator kongresa turističkog sajma u New Yorku ponudio mi je za 1500 dolara za popis uzvanika, odnosno mailing listu.

Pretpostavljate da je to Amerika gdje regulativa GDPR ne postoji jer ona vrijedi samo za zemlje Europske unije. Međutim, prevarili biste se jer mi takve ponude stižu i iz Španjolske, Italije, Njemačke, znači, sve su iz Europe. Koliko god se trudili da izbjegnete zamke društvenih mreža, negdje će vas “zaskočiti” situacija u kojoj ćete shvatiti da su vaši podaci prodani tzv. trećoj strani. A onda kreću spamovi, hakiranje i slične nevolje. Ljudi su uvijek najslabija karika. Na internetu čak možete pronaći savjete kako prodati listu uzvanika i pritom zaraditi.

Mnoge web stranice pokušavaju ostvariti zaradu od posjeta i klikova i pritom ostvariti profit. Prema Cybersecurity Venturesu predviđa se da će u 2023. godini troškovi cyber kriminala dosegnuti nevjerojatnih 8 bilijardi dolara. Htjeli ne htjeli i sami smo dio te priče. U današnja vremena ne može se živjeti kao duh i moramo biti na internetu. Ono što nama izgleda kao nevina objava, zapravo je hrana za oglašivače. Stoga ih pokušajmo hraniti što je manje moguće.

“Društvene mreže najveći su mogući zlatni rudnik za oglašivače,” komentirao je moj kolega koji radi kao online analitičar podataka. “Ljudi spremno pružaju uvid u svoje živote, svoje planove, kupovinu, mjesta na koja putuju i još mnogo toga. Podaci su danas najvrijednija roba,” dodao je. Informacija o tome da online “čudovišta” prikupljaju podatke i zatim ih prodaju su zastrašujuće.

Pokušajte napustiti Facebook pa ćete vidjeti koliko su im važni podaci o vama i vašim navikama. Međutim, Facebook ovdje nije jedini lešinar. Obratite pažnju na slučaj Tik Tok koji je trenutno aktualan u SADu. Naši su životi otvorene knjige koje bi mnoge organizacije vrlo rado “pročitale”. Nisam baš aktivan član na društvenim mrežama, koristim ih gotovo pa isključivo za posao i to je to. Teško da ćete me vidjeti da lajkam ili komentiram objave po društvenim mrežama ili se nedobog upuštam u “ratove” zvane komentiranje.

Ako izdvojimo neobične rođendanske čestitke koje znam uputiti članovima svoje engleske obitelji, onda za moje društvene mreže možemo reći da su crna rupa. Ali, svakome svoje veselje. Sjećate se od prije nekoliko godina, točnije 2018., velike strke i frke oko GDPRa (The General Data Protection Regulation) i ideje o zaštiti podataka na internetu? Čini se da je ta ideja propala tijekom pandemije tako da nisu samo društvene mreže profitirale od dostupnih podataka, tu su i kompanije koje nemaju baš časne namjere.

Poruku jedne kompanije nedavno sam dobio u inbox. Nije to sad neko čudo, svakodnevno primam veliku količinu sličnih mailova koje stižu od tvrtki koje se bave analizom podataka i na taj način ostvaruju promete za treće strane. Bilo bi podcijenjeno reći da su oni opasnost za privatnost.

A evo što sam ja to dobio na mail: “Dobar dan! Nadam se da ovaj mail stiže u prave ruke. Jeste li zainteresirani za popis gostiju na “Bar & Restaurant Expo” koji će se održati od 27 – 29.3.2023. u Las Vegas Convention Centru, Las Vegas, USA. Broj posjetitelja je 20.340, uključujući i podatke o mail adresama! Naknadno ćemo poslati ostale detalje, troškove i uzorak popisa. Srdačan pozdrav, Casey Cruz – Analitičar podataka.” Da, dobro ste pročitali. Tvrtka koja mi pokušava prodati sve detalje, e mail adrese svih sudionika navedenog kongresa. Kao što sam napisao, ovo nije prvi put da sam dobio mail sličnog sadržaja.

Pokušao sam ih kontaktirati kako bih provjerio legalnost ovog postupka, međutim, koliko god sam se trudio, to mi nije uspjelo. Kadgod idete na neko događanje pitaju vas da ispunite kratki formular s informacijama: ime, adresa, e-mail adresa, kontakt i tako dalje. I očigledno je da se ti podaci prodaju. Vjerojatno se pitate, zašto bi ih netko kupio? Podaci su sve. Tezoro. Ako posjedujete e-mail listu za određeno događanje, u samom start imate malo blago s kojim možete prodavati vlastiti proizvod. A te liste nisu nimalo jeftine. Jedan organizator kongresa turističkog sajma u New Yorku ponudio mi je za 1500 dolara za popis uzvanika, odnosno mailing listu.

Pretpostavljate da je to Amerika gdje regulativa GDPR ne postoji jer ona vrijedi samo za zemlje Europske unije. Međutim, prevarili biste se jer mi takve ponude stižu i iz Španjolske, Italije, Njemačke, znači, sve su iz Europe. Koliko god se trudili da izbjegnete zamke društvenih mreža, negdje će vas “zaskočiti” situacija u kojoj ćete shvatiti da su vaši podaci prodani tzv. trećoj strani. A onda kreću spamovi, hakiranje i slične nevolje. Ljudi su uvijek najslabija karika. Na internetu čak možete pronaći savjete kako prodati listu uzvanika i pritom zaraditi.

Mnoge web stranice pokušavaju ostvariti zaradu od posjeta i klikova i pritom ostvariti profit. Prema Cybersecurity Venturesu predviđa se da će u 2023. godini troškovi cyber kriminala dosegnuti nevjerojatnih 8 bilijardi dolara. Htjeli ne htjeli i sami smo dio te priče. U današnja vremena ne može se živjeti kao duh i moramo biti na internetu. Ono što nama izgleda kao nevina objava, zapravo je hrana za oglašivače. Stoga ih pokušajmo hraniti što je manje moguće.
