Ugledni virusni imunolog koji je odnedavno postao i akademik, Stipan Jonjić,  kaže kako je virus majmunskih boginja vrlo sličan virusu koji je harao svijetom ne tako davno i izazivao velike boginje, virus variole, koji je srećom eradiciran, uklonjen i ostao je samo u nekim laboratorijima pod kontrolom Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije.

„Ovaj virus je vrlo sličan, ali s velikom razlikom što je variola bila specifična za ljude i nije se širila na životinje, za razliku od majmunskih boginja koji nije specifičan za vrstu”, rekao je profesor Jonjić gostujući u Novom danu na N1 televizije. Ocijenio je da su majmunske boginje puno manje zarazne te da je virus koji ih izaziva puno manje opasan, ali ipak ne i bezazlen.

 “Širi se kontaktom i respiratorno, ulazi kroz oštećenja tkiva odnosno kože ili preko dišnog sustava, replicira se tamo gdje uđe, napravi širenje u unutarnje organe i onda nastaje sekundarna diseminacija, širenje krvlju do kože, i onda dolazi do razvoja osipa koji prolazi razne faze. U cijelom tom periodu bolest je zarazna – objasnio je virolog.

Ne smatra da majmunske boginje imaju potencijal globalnog širenja.

 “Vjerojatno će imati prodore u obliku manjih klastera, doduše, budimo oprezni jer ne znamo točno koliko je podložan mutacijama, puno manje nego RNA virusi, sve što se događa puno je predvidljivije i uz oprez se ipak ne trebamo bojati globalnog velikog problema, kao što je to bio slučaj s Covidom”, naglasio je. 

Što se tiče koronavirusa Jonjiću nije jasno što se događa u Kini, gdje se zbog nekoliko stotina slučajeva potpuno zatvaraju gradovi poput Šangaja ili Pekinga, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

“Nešto je tu čudno i teško objašnjivo. Brojevi koje Kina prikazuje nisu razlog za takve mjere, oni su moćni, mogu organizirati testiranje cijelog Pekinga u tjedan dana, i to triput. No, to ne znači da mi ne trebamo ništa raditi i mi zapravo ne možemo predviđati. Rado bih predviđao, ali je predviđanje kad je u pitanju Covid nezahvalno jer su sva ranija bila pogrešna, ocijenio je. Podsjeća da je covid situacija danas neusporedivo bolja nego lani u ovo doba, puno je više ljudi procijepljeno te preboljelo i steklo neku vrstu imunosti, ali upozorava kako to sve ne jamči spokoj.

 - Omikron dominira, on će dominirati sve dok se ne pojavi varijanta koja će ga potisnuti i hoće li se takva varijanta pojaviti, to zapravo nitko ne zna, treba vidjeti što će napraviti omikron koji se brzo širi i kod onih koji su cijepljeni i preboljeli i treba vidjeti kako će on utjecati na stečenu ili preboljenu imunost i hoće li je poboljšati. Ključno je da smo naučili nešto u ove dvije godine. Mislim da će se dogoditi prodor neke varijante, a u tom slučaju smo na početku i važno je da mi predviđamo, pratimo i reagiramo. Mislim da će se nešto dogoditi najesen, ali hoće li se dogoditi prodor neke jače varijante virusa, ja to ne mogu predvidjeti”, zaključio je Jonjić gostujući na N1 televiziji.

Ugledni virusni imunolog koji je odnedavno postao i akademik, Stipan Jonjić,  kaže kako je virus majmunskih boginja vrlo sličan virusu koji je harao svijetom ne tako davno i izazivao velike boginje, virus variole, koji je srećom eradiciran, uklonjen i ostao je samo u nekim laboratorijima pod kontrolom Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije.

„Ovaj virus je vrlo sličan, ali s velikom razlikom što je variola bila specifična za ljude i nije se širila na životinje, za razliku od majmunskih boginja koji nije specifičan za vrstu”, rekao je profesor Jonjić gostujući u Novom danu na N1 televizije. Ocijenio je da su majmunske boginje puno manje zarazne te da je virus koji ih izaziva puno manje opasan, ali ipak ne i bezazlen.

 “Širi se kontaktom i respiratorno, ulazi kroz oštećenja tkiva odnosno kože ili preko dišnog sustava, replicira se tamo gdje uđe, napravi širenje u unutarnje organe i onda nastaje sekundarna diseminacija, širenje krvlju do kože, i onda dolazi do razvoja osipa koji prolazi razne faze. U cijelom tom periodu bolest je zarazna – objasnio je virolog.

Ne smatra da majmunske boginje imaju potencijal globalnog širenja.

 “Vjerojatno će imati prodore u obliku manjih klastera, doduše, budimo oprezni jer ne znamo točno koliko je podložan mutacijama, puno manje nego RNA virusi, sve što se događa puno je predvidljivije i uz oprez se ipak ne trebamo bojati globalnog velikog problema, kao što je to bio slučaj s Covidom”, naglasio je. 

Što se tiče koronavirusa Jonjiću nije jasno što se događa u Kini, gdje se zbog nekoliko stotina slučajeva potpuno zatvaraju gradovi poput Šangaja ili Pekinga, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

“Nešto je tu čudno i teško objašnjivo. Brojevi koje Kina prikazuje nisu razlog za takve mjere, oni su moćni, mogu organizirati testiranje cijelog Pekinga u tjedan dana, i to triput. No, to ne znači da mi ne trebamo ništa raditi i mi zapravo ne možemo predviđati. Rado bih predviđao, ali je predviđanje kad je u pitanju Covid nezahvalno jer su sva ranija bila pogrešna, ocijenio je. Podsjeća da je covid situacija danas neusporedivo bolja nego lani u ovo doba, puno je više ljudi procijepljeno te preboljelo i steklo neku vrstu imunosti, ali upozorava kako to sve ne jamči spokoj.

 - Omikron dominira, on će dominirati sve dok se ne pojavi varijanta koja će ga potisnuti i hoće li se takva varijanta pojaviti, to zapravo nitko ne zna, treba vidjeti što će napraviti omikron koji se brzo širi i kod onih koji su cijepljeni i preboljeli i treba vidjeti kako će on utjecati na stečenu ili preboljenu imunost i hoće li je poboljšati. Ključno je da smo naučili nešto u ove dvije godine. Mislim da će se dogoditi prodor neke varijante, a u tom slučaju smo na početku i važno je da mi predviđamo, pratimo i reagiramo. Mislim da će se nešto dogoditi najesen, ali hoće li se dogoditi prodor neke jače varijante virusa, ja to ne mogu predvidjeti”, zaključio je Jonjić gostujući na N1 televiziji.
