Ovogodišnji Maraton lađa na Neretvi obilježio je nesvakidašnji sudar broda i glisera, te potonuće jednog od plovila odakle su pripadnici HGSS-a morali izvlačiti putnika.
Iako još nema službenog izvješća o okolnostima havarije i eventualnim sigurnosnim propustima, u krugovima pomoraca dosta se govori o incidentu koji je samo pukom srećom prošao bez ljudskih žrtava.

Teo Grbić, dubrovački kapetan duge plovidbe s dvadesetogodišnjim iskustvom plovidbe na kruzerima za Dubrovački iznosi svoje pretpostavke:
- Teško je reći što je dovelo do sudara iz samo par kadrova koje sam pogledao, no najvažnije je da nema žrtava. Svakako, mislim da je trebalo provjeriti stabilitet broda koji možda nije bio kapacitiran za toliko ljudi. Često se zna dogoditi da se, ako puno ljudi stane na jednu stranu, barka nagne. Lako je kad svi mirno sjede, ali ako se počne skakati, plesati i komešati, ne treba puno da se plovilo nagne, napuni se mora ili vode i pođe na dno. Mislim da vremenski uvjeti u ovom slučaju nisu imali utjecaja. Koliko sam vidio, na Neretvi nije bilo vjetra, a ne bih rekao ni da su riječne struje odgovorne – govori nam kapetan Grbić koji se tijekom karijere moreplovca susretao sa sličnim poteškoćama. Većinom se to događalo s manjim plovilima, tenderima koji prevoze putnike s kruzera na kopno, iako nije bilo potonuća. Par nasukavanja riješilo se brzo, preuzimanjem zamjenskog tendera.

- Smatram da je u najmanje 90 posto svih pomorskih nesreća presudan ljudski faktor. Nepažnja, nepažnja i još jednom nepažnja. A more i rijeke su nepredvidivi, može se dogoditi svašta neočekivanog. Neki isplove a da prethodno ne predvide moguće probleme koji ih mogu zadesiti ili sporo reagiraju kad opasnost već nastupi i bude kasno. Naravno, i tehnički kvarovi su mogući. A loše je i ako onaj koji upravlja plovilom ne poznaje dovoljno tehniku. Tehnika je tu da nam pomogne, ali ako se njome ne znate dobro služiti, u problemu ste – upozorava kapetan.
Teo Grbić je inače u ljeto 2019. prvi put kao zapovjednik broda, kruzera Norwegian Star, uplovio u rodni grad. Za ovogodišnju jubilarnu 1050. Festu svetoga Vlaha izabran je festanjula iz redova pomoraca. Ovaj umirovljeni pomorac obišao je cijeli globus osim Antarktike, a od lipnja ove godine je postao i dubrovački gradski vijećnik iz redova HDZ-a.

Ovogodišnji Maraton lađa na Neretvi obilježio je nesvakidašnji sudar broda i glisera, te potonuće jednog od plovila odakle su pripadnici HGSS-a morali izvlačiti putnika.
Iako još nema službenog izvješća o okolnostima havarije i eventualnim sigurnosnim propustima, u krugovima pomoraca dosta se govori o incidentu koji je samo pukom srećom prošao bez ljudskih žrtava.

Teo Grbić, dubrovački kapetan duge plovidbe s dvadesetogodišnjim iskustvom plovidbe na kruzerima za Dubrovački iznosi svoje pretpostavke:
- Teško je reći što je dovelo do sudara iz samo par kadrova koje sam pogledao, no najvažnije je da nema žrtava. Svakako, mislim da je trebalo provjeriti stabilitet broda koji možda nije bio kapacitiran za toliko ljudi. Često se zna dogoditi da se, ako puno ljudi stane na jednu stranu, barka nagne. Lako je kad svi mirno sjede, ali ako se počne skakati, plesati i komešati, ne treba puno da se plovilo nagne, napuni se mora ili vode i pođe na dno. Mislim da vremenski uvjeti u ovom slučaju nisu imali utjecaja. Koliko sam vidio, na Neretvi nije bilo vjetra, a ne bih rekao ni da su riječne struje odgovorne – govori nam kapetan Grbić koji se tijekom karijere moreplovca susretao sa sličnim poteškoćama. Većinom se to događalo s manjim plovilima, tenderima koji prevoze putnike s kruzera na kopno, iako nije bilo potonuća. Par nasukavanja riješilo se brzo, preuzimanjem zamjenskog tendera.

- Smatram da je u najmanje 90 posto svih pomorskih nesreća presudan ljudski faktor. Nepažnja, nepažnja i još jednom nepažnja. A more i rijeke su nepredvidivi, može se dogoditi svašta neočekivanog. Neki isplove a da prethodno ne predvide moguće probleme koji ih mogu zadesiti ili sporo reagiraju kad opasnost već nastupi i bude kasno. Naravno, i tehnički kvarovi su mogući. A loše je i ako onaj koji upravlja plovilom ne poznaje dovoljno tehniku. Tehnika je tu da nam pomogne, ali ako se njome ne znate dobro služiti, u problemu ste – upozorava kapetan.
Teo Grbić je inače u ljeto 2019. prvi put kao zapovjednik broda, kruzera Norwegian Star, uplovio u rodni grad. Za ovogodišnju jubilarnu 1050. Festu svetoga Vlaha izabran je festanjula iz redova pomoraca. Ovaj umirovljeni pomorac obišao je cijeli globus osim Antarktike, a od lipnja ove godine je postao i dubrovački gradski vijećnik iz redova HDZ-a.
