Nakon što su kineske vlasti u ponedjeljak priopćile da je jedan student u Wuhanu zaražen kolerom, sinoć je priopćeno da je isti soj bakterije koja uzrokuje tu zaraznu bolest pronađen kod kornjače na tržnici, objavio je Reuters.

Iako se infekcija kolerom kod studenta ne dovodi u vezu sa zaraženom kornjačom, zdravstvene vlasti su zatvorile štand na mokroj tržnici Baishazhou gdje se prodaju kornjače s mekim oklopom. Tržinica je zatim dezinficirana te su testirani svi koji su bili u kontaktu s kornjačama.

Iako nema čvrstih naznaka o izbijanju epidemije kolere u Wuhanu, građani su, piše Jutarnji list, uznemireni o čemu najbolje govori činjenica da je mikroblog o toj temi na Weibu, kineskom pandan Twittera, imao 200 milijuna pregleda.

"Uzmite lekciju iz covida i požurite u traženje izvora kako biste osigurali dokaze!!!" napisao je jedan korisnik Weiboa. Uznemirenost Kineza zbog kolere posve je razumljiva s obzirom na pandemiju koronavirusa SARS-CoV-2 koji je na svoj smrtonosni pohod po svijetu krenuo upravo iz Wuhana gdje su u studenom 2019. godine izbili prvi slučajevi bolesti covid-19, a bili su povezani s mokrom tržnicom Huanan. No, ni nakon 2,5 godine od pojave novog koronavirusa njegovo porijeklo nije do kraja razjašnjeno: vrlo je vjerojatno da je riječ o prirodnoj evoluciji virusa čiji su se srodnici udomaćili u šišmišu potkovnjaku, ali ne može se još uvijek isključiti mogućnost da je SARS-CoV-2 slučajno "odlutao" iz Wuhanskog instituta za virologiju (WIV).

Što se tiče slučaja kolere, Sveučilište Wuhan objavilo je u ponedjeljak da je 8. srpnja u sveučilišnu bolnicu primljen student sa simptomima poput groznice, povraćanja i proljeva. Student je od tada dva puta prebačen, svaki put u bolnicu više razine, i trenutno je u karanteni, priopćilo je sveučilište. Studentu je zatim dijagnosticiran soj kolere 0139.

Dom u kojem je student boravio, kao i laboratorij u kojem je radio, su zaključani, a njegovi bliski kontakti stavljeni su u karantenu. Testirano je nekoliko stotina ljudi na sveučilištu, baš kao i osoblje bolnica koje je bilo u kontaktu sa studentom. No, svi su bili negativni pa su gradske vlasti Wuhana, grada s više od 11 milijuna stanovnika, objavile da slučaj kolere kod studenta lokalnog sveučilišta nije izazvao daljnje infekcije. No, pred zdravstvenim je vlastima tek zadatak da otkriju kako se student zarazio.

Kolera je zarazna bolest tankoga crijeva koju uzrokuje bakterija Vibrio cholerae. Simptomi, koji počinju jedan do tri dana nakon zaraze s bakterijom, kreću se od blage nekomplicirane epizode proljeva do teške bolesti koja može dovesti do smrti. Kolera se širi pijenjem zagađene vode, konzumiranjem morskih rakova, školjki i riba te druge hrane zagađene izlučevinama zaraženih ljudi. Bolest se pojavljuje u dijelovima Azije, Srednjeg Istoka, Afrike i Latinske Amerike gdje su epidemije su česte u toplim mjesecima, najviše među djecom. Izvješća o koleri rijetka su u kontinentalnoj Kini: pet slučajeva zabilježeno je u 2021. i 11 u 2020. godini, ali bez smrtnih ishoda.

- Otkrivanje Vibrio cholerae O139 ... ponovno nas podsjeća da su vlažne tržnice, iako su kulturno i ekonomski važne u Aziji, povezane s raznim rizicima za javno zdravlje. U stvari, otkrivanje soja pokazuje da se provodi nadzor, što se može smatrati samo pozitivnim. U ovom trenutku nema većeg razloga za zabrinutost, iako je stalni nadzor važan - rekao je za Reuters Andrew Greenhill, profesor mikrobiologije na Federacijskom sveučilištu u Ballaratu u Australiji.

Naglasio je kako je soj kolere O139 otkriven u raznim zemljama te da su velike epidemije kolere malo vjerojatne na lokacijama sa sigurnom pitkom vodom i odgovarajućim sanitarnim uvjetima.

Nakon što su kineske vlasti u ponedjeljak priopćile da je jedan student u Wuhanu zaražen kolerom, sinoć je priopćeno da je isti soj bakterije koja uzrokuje tu zaraznu bolest pronađen kod kornjače na tržnici, objavio je Reuters.

Iako se infekcija kolerom kod studenta ne dovodi u vezu sa zaraženom kornjačom, zdravstvene vlasti su zatvorile štand na mokroj tržnici Baishazhou gdje se prodaju kornjače s mekim oklopom. Tržinica je zatim dezinficirana te su testirani svi koji su bili u kontaktu s kornjačama.

Iako nema čvrstih naznaka o izbijanju epidemije kolere u Wuhanu, građani su, piše Jutarnji list, uznemireni o čemu najbolje govori činjenica da je mikroblog o toj temi na Weibu, kineskom pandan Twittera, imao 200 milijuna pregleda.

"Uzmite lekciju iz covida i požurite u traženje izvora kako biste osigurali dokaze!!!" napisao je jedan korisnik Weiboa. Uznemirenost Kineza zbog kolere posve je razumljiva s obzirom na pandemiju koronavirusa SARS-CoV-2 koji je na svoj smrtonosni pohod po svijetu krenuo upravo iz Wuhana gdje su u studenom 2019. godine izbili prvi slučajevi bolesti covid-19, a bili su povezani s mokrom tržnicom Huanan. No, ni nakon 2,5 godine od pojave novog koronavirusa njegovo porijeklo nije do kraja razjašnjeno: vrlo je vjerojatno da je riječ o prirodnoj evoluciji virusa čiji su se srodnici udomaćili u šišmišu potkovnjaku, ali ne može se još uvijek isključiti mogućnost da je SARS-CoV-2 slučajno "odlutao" iz Wuhanskog instituta za virologiju (WIV).

Što se tiče slučaja kolere, Sveučilište Wuhan objavilo je u ponedjeljak da je 8. srpnja u sveučilišnu bolnicu primljen student sa simptomima poput groznice, povraćanja i proljeva. Student je od tada dva puta prebačen, svaki put u bolnicu više razine, i trenutno je u karanteni, priopćilo je sveučilište. Studentu je zatim dijagnosticiran soj kolere 0139.

Dom u kojem je student boravio, kao i laboratorij u kojem je radio, su zaključani, a njegovi bliski kontakti stavljeni su u karantenu. Testirano je nekoliko stotina ljudi na sveučilištu, baš kao i osoblje bolnica koje je bilo u kontaktu sa studentom. No, svi su bili negativni pa su gradske vlasti Wuhana, grada s više od 11 milijuna stanovnika, objavile da slučaj kolere kod studenta lokalnog sveučilišta nije izazvao daljnje infekcije. No, pred zdravstvenim je vlastima tek zadatak da otkriju kako se student zarazio.

Kolera je zarazna bolest tankoga crijeva koju uzrokuje bakterija Vibrio cholerae. Simptomi, koji počinju jedan do tri dana nakon zaraze s bakterijom, kreću se od blage nekomplicirane epizode proljeva do teške bolesti koja može dovesti do smrti. Kolera se širi pijenjem zagađene vode, konzumiranjem morskih rakova, školjki i riba te druge hrane zagađene izlučevinama zaraženih ljudi. Bolest se pojavljuje u dijelovima Azije, Srednjeg Istoka, Afrike i Latinske Amerike gdje su epidemije su česte u toplim mjesecima, najviše među djecom. Izvješća o koleri rijetka su u kontinentalnoj Kini: pet slučajeva zabilježeno je u 2021. i 11 u 2020. godini, ali bez smrtnih ishoda.

Nakon što su kineske vlasti u ponedjeljak priopćile da je jedan student u Wuhanu zaražen kolerom, sinoć je priopćeno da je isti soj bakterije koja uzrokuje tu zaraznu bolest pronađen kod kornjače na tržnici, objavio je Reuters.

Iako se infekcija kolerom kod studenta ne dovodi u vezu sa zaraženom kornjačom, zdravstvene vlasti su zatvorile štand na mokroj tržnici Baishazhou gdje se prodaju kornjače s mekim oklopom. Tržinica je zatim dezinficirana te su testirani svi koji su bili u kontaktu s kornjačama.

Iako nema čvrstih naznaka o izbijanju epidemije kolere u Wuhanu, građani su, piše Jutarnji list, uznemireni o čemu najbolje govori činjenica da je mikroblog o toj temi na Weibu, kineskom pandan Twittera, imao 200 milijuna pregleda.

"Uzmite lekciju iz covida i požurite u traženje izvora kako biste osigurali dokaze!!!" napisao je jedan korisnik Weiboa. Uznemirenost Kineza zbog kolere posve je razumljiva s obzirom na pandemiju koronavirusa SARS-CoV-2 koji je na svoj smrtonosni pohod po svijetu krenuo upravo iz Wuhana gdje su u studenom 2019. godine izbili prvi slučajevi bolesti covid-19, a bili su povezani s mokrom tržnicom Huanan. No, ni nakon 2,5 godine od pojave novog koronavirusa njegovo porijeklo nije do kraja razjašnjeno: vrlo je vjerojatno da je riječ o prirodnoj evoluciji virusa čiji su se srodnici udomaćili u šišmišu potkovnjaku, ali ne može se još uvijek isključiti mogućnost da je SARS-CoV-2 slučajno "odlutao" iz Wuhanskog instituta za virologiju (WIV).

Što se tiče slučaja kolere, Sveučilište Wuhan objavilo je u ponedjeljak da je 8. srpnja u sveučilišnu bolnicu primljen student sa simptomima poput groznice, povraćanja i proljeva.
