Veliku pažnju javnosti privuklo je ovotjedno otkriće zagonetnih podmorskih struktura izgledom nalik pčelinjim saćama.

Na preporuku dubrovačkih kolega za pojašnjenje malog misterija iz lastovskog akvatorija kontaktirali smo dr. Antu Žujevića s Instituta za oceanografiju i ribarstvo u Splitu:

- O navedenim strukturama nemamo nikakvih dubljih saznanja osim onoga što smo već rekli za medije: kupolaste sedimentne tvorbe promjera do 20 m, visoke do 4 metara, negdje gusto posložene, dubine veće od 50 metara, nepoznato porijeklo, najčešće zabilježene oko Lastova. Još nemamo nikakvih fotografija, premda mislim da se one ne mogu ni napraviti jer se radi o velikim strukturama u moru koje je nemoguće fotografirati zbog ograničene prozirnosti. Mi ih “vidimo” indirektnim metodama, odnosno iz analize akustičnih snimaka. Nešto više se nadamo se ćemo imati tijekom lipnja kada planiramo posebnu ekspediciju u cilju njihove analize - istaknuo je Žuljević o nalazima nastalima tijekom mapiranja Jadrana.

Znanstvenici su proteklih punih pet godina uspjeli kartirati 51 posto površine podmorja hrvatskog dijela Jadrana. S portala Morski.hr izvijestili su kako je riječ o jedinstevnoj karti na cijelom Mediteranu koja obuhvaća 28 tisuća četvornih kilometara podmorja do dubine od 40 metara.

Projekt pod nazivom ‘Kartiranje obalnih i pridnenih morskih staništa na području Jadranskog mora pod nacionalnom jurisdikcijom’ koje je provelo Ministarstvo gospodarstva i održivog razvoja (MINGOR) Republike Hrvatske (RH) s konzorcijem koji je okupio više od 200 stručnjaka.

Veliku pažnju javnosti privuklo je ovotjedno otkriće zagonetnih podmorskih struktura izgledom nalik pčelinjim saćama.

Na preporuku dubrovačkih kolega za pojašnjenje malog misterija iz lastovskog akvatorija kontaktirali smo dr. Antu Žujevića s Instituta za oceanografiju i ribarstvo u Splitu:

- O navedenim strukturama nemamo nikakvih dubljih saznanja osim onoga što smo već rekli za medije: kupolaste sedimentne tvorbe promjera do 20 m, visoke do 4 metara, negdje gusto posložene, dubine veće od 50 metara, nepoznato porijeklo, najčešće zabilježene oko Lastova. Još nemamo nikakvih fotografija, premda mislim da se one ne mogu ni napraviti jer se radi o velikim strukturama u moru koje je nemoguće fotografirati zbog ograničene prozirnosti. Mi ih “vidimo” indirektnim metodama, odnosno iz analize akustičnih snimaka. Nešto više se nadamo se ćemo imati tijekom lipnja kada planiramo posebnu ekspediciju u cilju njihove analize - istaknuo je Žuljević o nalazima nastalima tijekom mapiranja Jadrana.

Znanstvenici su proteklih punih pet godina uspjeli kartirati 51 posto površine podmorja hrvatskog dijela Jadrana. S portala Morski.hr izvijestili su kako je riječ o jedinstevnoj karti na cijelom Mediteranu koja obuhvaća 28 tisuća četvornih kilometara podmorja do dubine od 40 metara.

Projekt pod nazivom ‘Kartiranje obalnih i pridnenih morskih staništa na području Jadranskog mora pod nacionalnom jurisdikcijom’ koje je provelo Ministarstvo gospodarstva i održivog razvoja (MINGOR) Republike Hrvatske (RH) s konzorcijem koji je okupio više od 200 stručnjaka.
