U utrci za zdravljem i kondicijom, globalnom opsesijom desetljećima unatrag, govori se o usporavanju metabolizma. Ta se pojava do sada vezivala za srednju dob, kada se manje kreće, a više radi i kada su ljudi, u ritmu suvremenog života, intenzivno pod stresom zbog posla i obaveza, izloženi konzumaciji brze hrane. A sve to uz premalo tjelesne aktivnosti i tjelovježbe, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Međutim dobra je vijest stigla prije dvije godine iz časopisa Science da usporavanje metabolizma ne dolazi u srednjoj dobi nego tek iznad 60. godine.

Dan LeMoine, savjetnik za prehranu sa certifikatom American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA), tvrdi da je metabolizam moguće modificirati.

"Ako osjećate da vaš metabolizam nije ono što je bio, njegovo resetiranje može biti ono što vam je potrebno kako biste vratili svoju osnovnu razinu ‘sagorijevanja‘ (i širok raspon tjelesnih procesa koje pokreće) kako biste mogli funkcionirati što učinkovitije. On tvrdi da je ta borba najveći znak da metabolizam ne funkcionira kako bi mogao iako se zdravo hranite i vježbate. Stoga LeMoine kao rješenje predlaže metaboličko resetiranje i to u tri koraka.

Prvi je hidratacija. Osam čaša vode dnevno je dobra smjernica, a budući da većini vode koju pijemo zapravo nedostaju minerali u tragovima i elektroliti, on predlaže da jedemo puno povrća bogatog mineralima.

Drugi korak je spavanje jer, kaže on, "kada ste odmorni, to utječe na bolju prehranu i na više kretanja". Suprotno onima koji zagovaraju dijete, LeMoine ističe da treba jesti dovoljno jer smanjenje unosa kalorija usporava metabolizam.

"Metaboličko resetiranje ne bi trebalo biti utrka do cilja. Plan bi trebao biti usmjeren prema tome kako napraviti fine promjene u načinu života koje će vam dugoročno koristiti. Ako mijenjate način života i nastavljate se boriti sa znakovima usporenog metabolizma, provjerite sa svojim liječnikom da vidite imate li temeljno stanje koje utječe na metabolizam, poput slabog rada štitnjače", zaključio je Dan LeMoine, prenosi N1.

Prema tome, godine nisu preprepka za predavanje načinu života s usporenim metabolizmom. Drugim riječima da je vrijeme za metaboličko resetiranje, uz slijeđenje ova tri koraka.

U utrci za zdravljem i kondicijom, globalnom opsesijom desetljećima unatrag, govori se o usporavanju metabolizma. Ta se pojava do sada vezivala za srednju dob, kada se manje kreće, a više radi i kada su ljudi, u ritmu suvremenog života, intenzivno pod stresom zbog posla i obaveza, izloženi konzumaciji brze hrane. A sve to uz premalo tjelesne aktivnosti i tjelovježbe, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Međutim dobra je vijest stigla prije dvije godine iz časopisa Science da usporavanje metabolizma ne dolazi u srednjoj dobi nego tek iznad 60. godine.

Dan LeMoine, savjetnik za prehranu sa certifikatom American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA), tvrdi da je metabolizam moguće modificirati.

"Ako osjećate da vaš metabolizam nije ono što je bio, njegovo resetiranje može biti ono što vam je potrebno kako biste vratili svoju osnovnu razinu ‘sagorijevanja‘ (i širok raspon tjelesnih procesa koje pokreće) kako biste mogli funkcionirati što učinkovitije. U našu kliniku ljudi dolaze i pokušavaju živjeti zdravo, dobro se hraniti, vježbati pa ipak, još uvijek otkrivaju da stvari jednostavno ne funkcioniraju kao prije – moraju raditi dvostruko više da bi održali težinu ili jednostavno ne mogu smršaviti", rekao je LeMoine, prenosi N1.

On tvrdi da je ta borba najveći znak da metabolizam ne funkcionira kako bi mogao iako se zdravo hranite i vježbate. Stoga LeMoine kao rješenje predlaže metaboličko resetiranje i to u tri koraka.

Prvi je hidratacija. Osam čaša vode dnevno je dobra smjernica, a budući da većini vode koju pijemo zapravo nedostaju minerali u tragovima i elektroliti, on predlaže da jedemo puno povrća bogatog mineralima.

Drugi korak je spavanje jer, kaže on, "kada ste odmorni, to utječe na bolju prehranu i na više kretanja". Suprotno onima koji zagovaraju dijete, LeMoine ističe da treba jesti dovoljno jer smanjenje unosa kalorija usporava metabolizam.

"Metaboličko resetiranje ne bi trebalo biti utrka do cilja. Plan bi trebao biti usmjeren prema tome kako napraviti fine promjene u načinu života koje će vam dugoročno koristiti. Ako mijenjate način života i nastavljate se boriti sa znakovima usporenog metabolizma, provjerite sa svojim liječnikom da vidite imate li temeljno stanje koje utječe na metabolizam, poput slabog rada štitnjače", zaključio je Dan LeMoine, prenosi N1.

Prema tome, godine nisu preprepka za predavanje načinu života s usporenim metabolizmom. Drugim riječima da je vrijeme za metaboličko resetiranje, uz slijeđenje ova tri koraka.
