Održana je svečana sjednica Općinskog vijeća, kojoj je, uz brojne goste, nazočio i župan Ante Sanader, te nekoliko načelnika imotskih općina, svećenici okolnih župa i građani Podbablja. Načelnik općine Tonći Vuksan istaknuo je i uspjehe u radu općinske uprave, ali i teškoće s kojima se susreću.

- Ubrzo će godina dana otkako je došla nova Vlada. Mi smo u nekoliko navrata slali programe, molili za pomoć, no iz Zagreba nitko nije odgovorio. I nismo samo tu hendikepirani, jer i među nama ima nesloge. Tako je račun Općine blokirao Grad Imotski, zbog dugovanja od prije desetak godina, kada smo imali zajednički dječji vrtić. Unatoč tim teškoćama, uspjeli smo nekako servisirati stipendije studentima, autobusne karte učenicima, a također u općini imamo više od 140 socijalnih slučajeva, obitelji koji su na rubu egzistencije. Pomažemo koliko možemo - istaknuo je općinski načelnik Vuksan.

Nakon svečane sjednice položeni su vijenci na spomenik prvom hrvatskom predsjedniku dr. Franji Tuđmanu, te na spomen-križ kod crkve svetoga Luke. Na svečanoj svetoj misi, koju je predvodio novoimenovani župnik fra Nedjeljko Čarapić, bilo je mnoštvo vjernika.

Prije mise, po tradiciji, održana je i procesija s kipom svetoga Luke u okružju župne crkve. Slavlje mještana općine Podbablje nastavljeno je tradicionalnim narodnim dernekom, te prvim susretom gangaških skupina Imotske krajine kod mjesne škole na Kamenmostu.

Održana je svečana sjednica Općinskog vijeća, kojoj je, uz brojne goste, nazočio i župan Ante Sanader, te nekoliko načelnika imotskih općina, svećenici okolnih župa i građani Podbablja. Načelnik općine Tonći Vuksan istaknuo je i uspjehe u radu općinske uprave, ali i teškoće s kojima se susreću.

- Ubrzo će godina dana otkako je došla nova Vlada. Mi smo u nekoliko navrata slali programe, molili za pomoć, no iz Zagreba nitko nije odgovorio. I nismo samo tu hendikepirani, jer i među nama ima nesloge. Tako je račun Općine blokirao Grad Imotski, zbog dugovanja od prije desetak godina, kada smo imali zajednički dječji vrtić. Unatoč tim teškoćama, uspjeli smo nekako servisirati stipendije studentima, autobusne karte učenicima, a također u općini imamo više od 140 socijalnih slučajeva, obitelji koji su na rubu egzistencije. Pomažemo koliko možemo - istaknuo je općinski načelnik Vuksan.

Nakon svečane sjednice položeni su vijenci na spomenik prvom hrvatskom predsjedniku dr. Franji Tuđmanu, te na spomen-križ kod crkve svetoga Luke. Na svečanoj svetoj misi, koju je predvodio novoimenovani župnik fra Nedjeljko Čarapić, bilo je mnoštvo vjernika.

Prije mise, po tradiciji, održana je i procesija s kipom svetoga Luke u okružju župne crkve. Slavlje mještana općine Podbablje nastavljeno je tradicionalnim narodnim dernekom, te prvim susretom gangaških skupina Imotske krajine kod mjesne škole na Kamenmostu.

Blagdan svetoga Luke, nebeskog zaštitnika istoimene župe u općini Podbablje, kao i Dan općine svečano su obilježeni nizom prigodnih događanja.
