U vrijeme visokih vodostaja svake godine iznova rijeka Neretva iz svojega gornjeg toka donosi velike količine plastike i svakovrsnog otpada na teritorij Hrvatske.

Problem se iz godine u godinu ponavlja bez ikakvog mogućeg rješenja. Plastika koja pristiže iz Mostara i Čapljine (BiH) završava u moru, a plastične vrećice, boce, čepovi doplutaju i do srednjedalmatinskih otoka. Ekološke udruge su nemoćne pred ovim problemom, jer fizički nije moguće zapriječiti dolazak komunalnog otpada iz Hercegovine.

Zagađuje se korito i obale rijeke Neretve, a neizravno je ugroženo i zdravlje ljudi budući se otpad mjeseci zadržava u obalnom šašu. Drugi problem je negativan utjecaj plastike na riblji fond, budući riba jede mikroplastiku kao da je plankton. Tako plastika završava i u hranidbenom lancu ljudi, koji konzumiraju ribu.

Ekolozi predlažu da se postave mreže koje bi sakupljale plastični otpad prije negoli dopluta do Jadrana, ali za takve projekte očito nema sluha na terenu. Veliki zagađivači rijeke Neretve su deponij Uborak kod Mostara te odlagalište otpada u Čapljini koje se nalazi nedaleko od riječnog korita, pa sa svakim većim porastom vodostaja gomile smeća završe u Neretvi od Metkovića do Ploča, a kasnije u moru.

Osim što zagađuje okoliš otpad koji pluta Neretvom predstavlja i potencijalnu opasnost za brodove. Naime, debla iz Neretve završila su i u (morskom) Neretvanskom kanalu gdje je dolazilo do havarije brodova koji su se sudarili s tim "nezvanim gostima".

Od plutajućeg otpada što ga Neretva donosi s tih divljih odlagališta iz susjedstva, još veća opasnost su nevidljiva kemijska zagađenja koja kroz podzemlje prodiru u vodotokove. U slijevu rijeke Neretve u BiH nalazi se desetak ilegalnih divljih odlagališta koje predstavljaju veliku opasnost za okoliš u donjem Poneretvlju.

U vrijeme visokih vodostaja svake godine iznova rijeka Neretva iz svojega gornjeg toka donosi velike količine plastike i svakovrsnog otpada na teritorij Hrvatske.

Problem se iz godine u godinu ponavlja bez ikakvog mogućeg rješenja. Plastika koja pristiže iz Mostara i Čapljine (BiH) završava u moru, a plastične vrećice, boce, čepovi doplutaju i do srednjedalmatinskih otoka. Ekološke udruge su nemoćne pred ovim problemom, jer fizički nije moguće zapriječiti dolazak komunalnog otpada iz Hercegovine.

Zagađuje se korito i obale rijeke Neretve, a neizravno je ugroženo i zdravlje ljudi budući se otpad mjeseci zadržava u obalnom šašu. Drugi problem je negativan utjecaj plastike na riblji fond, budući riba jede mikroplastiku kao da je plankton. Tako plastika završava i u hranidbenom lancu ljudi, koji konzumiraju ribu.

Ekolozi predlažu da se postave mreže koje bi sakupljale plastični otpad prije negoli dopluta do Jadrana, ali za takve projekte očito nema sluha na terenu. Veliki zagađivači rijeke Neretve su deponij Uborak kod Mostara te odlagalište otpada u Čapljini koje se nalazi nedaleko od riječnog korita, pa sa svakim većim porastom vodostaja gomile smeća završe u Neretvi od Metkovića do Ploča, a kasnije u moru.

Osim što zagađuje okoliš otpad koji pluta Neretvom predstavlja i potencijalnu opasnost za brodove. Naime, debla iz Neretve završila su i u (morskom) Neretvanskom kanalu gdje je dolazilo do havarije brodova koji su se sudarili s tim "nezvanim gostima".

Od plutajućeg otpada što ga Neretva donosi s tih divljih odlagališta iz susjedstva, još veća opasnost su nevidljiva kemijska zagađenja koja kroz podzemlje prodiru u vodotokove. U slijevu rijeke Neretve u BiH nalazi se desetak ilegalnih divljih odlagališta koje predstavljaju veliku opasnost za okoliš u donjem Poneretvlju.

U vrijeme visokih vodostaja svake godine iznova rijeka Neretva iz svojega gornjeg toka donosi velike količine plastike i svakovrsnog otpada na teritorij Hrvatske.

Problem se iz godine u godinu ponavlja bez ikakvog mogućeg rješenja. Plastika koja pristiže iz Mostara i Čapljine (BiH) završava u moru, a plastične vrećice, boce, čepovi doplutaju i do srednjedalmatinskih otoka. Ekološke udruge su nemoćne pred ovim problemom, jer fizički nije moguće zapriječiti dolazak komunalnog otpada iz Hercegovine.

Zagađuje se korito i obale rijeke Neretve, a neizravno je ugroženo i zdravlje ljudi budući se otpad mjeseci zadržava u obalnom šašu. Drugi problem je negativan utjecaj plastike na riblji fond, budući riba jede mikroplastiku kao da je plankton. Tako plastika završava i u...
